Healing Saboteur Energy & The Huge Astrology & Healing Newsletter July 2018

Michael Conneely

Welcome to our Astrology and Healing Newsletter for July 2018 :
Healing Saboteur Energy and the Huge Astrology of July 2018

In this issue, Maggie Pashley talks about how to heal yourself from saboteur energy that may have been implanted into you, and is continuing to harm you and your life.

And Michael Conneely explains the heavyweight Astrology of July 2018, with the longest eclipse of the 21st Century upcoming on July 27th and a wide range of other difficult energies that need to be heard about, explained, and their potential for healing and empowerment manifested. Michael and Maggie work at their Healing Centre on the West Coast of Ireland near Sligo, and do many reading and healings and teach many courses worldwide on line.

Maggie Pashley now talks about healing yourself from Saboteur Energy:

MAGGIE BEST JUNE 16Dealing with Saboteur Energy

Saboteur Energy is something that stops us being as amazing, as creative and successful as we could be. It can be like driving with the brakes on, or like taking a last minute detour that stops us arriving at our destination.

In other words, it can be something that is ever present in your life so that you don’t go for what you really what, consider yourself too stupid, too old/too young, just plain wrong in some way to make different choices. You may consider yourself unlucky, unworthy, not enough so you rule so much out as being possible for you. You’ve already given up on yourself so you don’t get started going in the direction you want or you go ahead with such resistance that you’ll never get there. That’s what I’d call driving with the brakes on

On the other hand, you may be very enterprising, committed, hardworking and have a clear direction. You may be on the verge of achieving something you’ve wanted for so long and then at the last minute, you do something to make sure you don’t get there. In fact, at an unconscious level, you may be expecting something to go wrong and attract circumstances that prove you right. That’s what I call the last minute detour which takes you completely off track.

In the Body Code work I do with clients saboteur energy often comes up as a block to be cleared energetically. The saboteur energy can be from another person, even from somebody who is not currently in their life, it can also be from an institution or environment which is restrictive or harmful. It is how our bodies are still responding to that external energy and does not mean that the person triggering it intended it to be harmful. I use muscle testing to get an energetic snapshot of how that energy is being perceived by you. For example an over-controlling or domineering parent may give me an image of being tied up, imprisoned, gagged, somebody who has felt very criticised by somebody may have a saboteur energy which could be described as little darts being aimed at them, somebody who is ignored or overlooked may present me with an image of an invisibility cloak etc. An institution may have castrated somebody etc. I often find that the images that present themselves can appear exaggerated as a way of clearly defining the damage they have caused and thus making it easier to clear. Once we have acknowledged the saboteur energy and described it in energy terms we can dissolve its effect on you.

Without that energetic imprinting of saboteur energy, you are free to be more of you, not defined in somebody else’s terms. The effect of saboteur energy is definitely to limit you in some way or to distort your self-expression. For example, if you have been gagged you may decide that your opinion doesn’t count, you may be unsure of what you feel or you may react against that and always want to oppose or be very vocal. Either way, it’s a reaction rather than a true expression of you. Saboteur energy can lead you to conclusions about yourself or about life ‘women are always critical’,’if I show that side of me I’ll be rejected’, ‘love hurts’ etc and you can forget that there’s a whole new world beyond that is available to you.

And then there is self-sabotage. It can be of the constant nagging restrictive type described above as driving with the brakes on or the last minute side track. Where have you decided ‘somebody like me doesn’t/can’t do that?’ that holds you back. What else is possible for you without that belief?  Where have you unconsciously told yourself that it is easier/safer to fail, to play safe that stops you achieving what you could achieve for you?

Often our unconscious mind has decided that there is some risk in succeeding and it is safer to fail or not fully achieve what we are capable of. It might have listened to you saying ‘I never want to stand out if that the kind of attention I get’ in response to being ridiculed as a child and still be running that old programme. It may believe if we have a successful business, people will be critical, envious, rejecting and so on. We can dialogue with our unconscious and ask if it would now be willing to dissolve blocks to our success, creativity and happiness.

AND HERE IS MICHAEL CONNEELY ON THE HUGE ASTROLOGY OF JULY 2018:

Phew, July really is an action-packed month.

The world won’t be quite the same after July 2018, nor will those of us who have planets in our birth charts which are impacted by the many strong astrological events, energies and features of July 2018.

The biggest of these are the eclipses.

There’s a Solar Eclipse on July 13th 2018

Then there is the Lunar Eclipse of 27th July 2018, which is the longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century (2001 to 2100).

It’s the longest eclipse for a hundred years, lasting for 1 hour and 43 minutes, and this means its effects will be felt for a long time to come.

Some UK newspapers have reported an ‘end of time’ nature for this Moon. It won’t be that, but its effect in our lives, politics and the earth will be great and long-lasting.

It will be visible across much of Europe and Asia, and in Australia, southern parts of North America, and South America. In UK/Ireland and elsewhere, this Moon will be a ‘blood moon’ where the moon has a red tinge.

Eclipses are ‘wild cards’. Eclipses send a glaring ray of truth onto an area of your life. With Eclipses, something ends and something new begins. But normally speaking, don’t take big hasty decisions immediately in the depth of eclipse time, wait for calmer more mature times before confirming your eclipse decisions or insights.

July 2018 Astrology Video Part 2:

A big eclipse like this 27th July Lunar Eclipse has an earthquake effect. If it interacts strongly with our birth chart, we will experience the eclipse strongly. There will be positive results if we are on course for our true life path, or the eclipse consequences will be negative if our life is off-course for its spiritual meaning. Eclipses deeply polarize and internalise our life issues, and we must face our personal and collective shadows around these issues. If you cling to your false securities and stuck patterns, or resist the call of your evolution now, then these eclipses will leave you at best a robot pursuing a mechanical rump of a non-real life, or your life circumstances will quite possibly disintegrate because you are not living in accord with your truth. So, July 2018 is a month to stand firm in the midst of what might feel like quite a storm, not give way to fear, not go limp, but be truly open to change. Cope with self-doubt and with felt loss of direction. The Lunar Eclipse may propel you to a needed new direction.

There are usually two eclipses in an Eclipse Cycle, but this time we have three! The three July and August eclipses will be huge. But I actually also feel, that July and the present phase should be dedicated to Uranus the Enlightener. In fact, Uranus is caught up with the Eclipses, and with the Mars-Ketu Conjunction, which is another very big feature of energy overload July, and Uranus has only fairly recently entered Vedic Aries – a huge new energy not seen since the run up to the Second World War. Uranus takes 84 years to orbit, remember. So, I feel I personally have much to thank for Uranus’ waves of energy of Inspiration and Revolution now. There is magic and Healing to be found for humanity now – If each of us humans can now learn how to grasp hold of the magic.

And please do remember, that Astrology is here to give us good quality perception of the energies and possibilities coming our way. It must never be formula or slack ‘impulse of the moment’ channelling. For our own good, our guiding astrological declaration needs to be intelligent, inspired and developmental. We are not here to experience these powerful July 2018 astrology energies passively or fatedly.

Guided by good astrological declaration, we are here to ask these sort of questions:
How can I heal?
How can I empower myself?
How can I use these events to burn negative karmas?
How can I use these energies, including the terrible ones, to powerfully and beautifully manifest that very special spark of incarnational destiny that drove my soul to incarnate to achieve here in this particular lifetime?

Note that this report, like all my astrology readings and astrology courses, combines psychodynamic Western astrology (using the Tropical Zodiac) with the Incarnational Life Purpose focused Vedic Astrology (Vedic Astrology  will only give accurate results if you use the Sidereal Zodiac with Lahiri Ayanamsha, or the degrees of difference from western Tropical zodiac).

I combine the nine planets of ancient Vedic Astrology with the newer discoveries whose energies have entered western consciousness over the last two and a half centuries: Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, plus, most necessarily: the Wounded Healer: Chiron.

So, let’s now go into the Astrology of July 2018, it’s main events and energies, and by way of introduction, the main astrological events of July 2018 may be summarised using the sidereal Vedic signs, as follows:
3 July: Mercury Rahu conjunction 12 deg Cancer, Pushyami.
4 July: Venus crosses Gandanta into Magha Nakshatra and transits Leo till 1 August 2018.
10 July: Jupiter turns direct at 19° Libra – Swati Nakshatra.
13 July: Solar Eclipse 26 deg Gemini – Punarvasu Nakshatra.
18 July: Mars conjuncts Ketu, 12° Capricorn, Shravana Nakshatra, second of its three exact conjunctions. Both Retrograde. Conjunct within 1 deg July 12th to 23rd
26 July: Mercury goes retrograde.
27 July: Major Lunar Eclipse. Moon at 10 Capricorn, Sravana Nakshatra.
29   July Sun conjunct Rahu, 11 Cancer, Pushyami

Please note that the Dates and Times for this report are set to Ireland. Check with www.dateandtime.com  for your local variations.

Now, here’s the full July 2018 Astrology in detail:

The Astrology of July 2018:

1.The Eclipses:

The most striking events of July 2018 are the Solar Eclipse of July 13th and the Lunar Eclipse of July 27th. As I said, note that the eclipse season, unusually this year, persists longer with a third eclipse: a solar eclipse on August 11th.

Note that I have covered these three eclipses in more detail, each in its own separate blog and videos, so do have a look at those. The full extent of detail of the astrology of July 2018 is too big to cover in one blog and video.

Major eclipses will tear open to your clear view any discrepancy between your inner self and the outer function self that you have created for yourself in the everyday world. The ideal is to use this time of the run up and actual dates of the July eclipses to identify and meet your Tue self, rather than the self that has been created for you by family, work place, religious upbringing, etc. It is a Pandora’s Box.

So, what is the difference between a Solar and a Lunar Eclipse?

A Solar Eclipse occurs when the Moon is between the Sun and Earth. So, in a Solar Eclipse, the Moon is cutting off the light of the Sun. The Moon is covering the Sun.

A Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Earth stands between the Moon and the Sun.

So, with a Lunar Eclipse, the Earth is cutting off the light of the Sun from the Moon. So, this means that we see the dark disk of the shadow of the Earth crossing the surface of the Moon, and, indeed, that shadow can black out the Moon totally.

Note that Solar Eclipses tend to be more ‘factual’ and they often bring bright new beginnings, whereas Lunar Eclipses tend to be more emotional and catastrophic or tumultuous and they bring about the death of something with the possibility for rebirth.

N.B. You absolutely do need to check how the chart for these eclipses interacts with your own natal chart.
The easiest way to do this is to visit my online Astrology Shop and buy a reading safely and securely from there:  Please visit shop.starwheelastrology.com/

This way, you can understand and prepare for these Eclipse energies that will be entering your consciousness and entering your life. We have to try to deal with Eclipses negative consciousness and life effects, and we most definitely also have to work out their positive divine meaning and embrace that.

There is a separate blog and video for each of the three eclipses of the July/August 2018 eclipse cycle, so my video for this newsletter will leave the fuller detail to the separate Eclipse Videos and Blogs.

Eclipses undam dammed up energy. They are associated with earthquakes and tsunamis. They can bring this sort of energy to the area of life covered by the house(s) they fall in, in your birth chart. And note that it’s even stronger in your mind and your consciousness and the areas of your life if a planet in your birth chart is directly affected by an eclipse, especially a conjunction, opposition or square aspect. It is very important to check out beforehand where any eclipse falls in relation to your own birth chart.

And we actually have to take into account that there’s not just two eclipses right now, but this is actually a three-eclipse season running on into August 11th 2018 It’s a longer window of eclipse energy than usual!

To analyse an Eclipse’s effect on you and your life, first check out your feeling about it, what are your intuitions? Then build on that, to note especially where the Moon of the eclipse falls in your birth chart. After that, note also the Nodal Axis of the eclipse chart, the eclipse Ascendant, and then key planets of the eclipse.

You can get an astrology reading from me if you want very dedicated and caring expert definition and advice: www.starwheelastrology.com/buyanastrologyreading

We feel eclipse energies as they are building. We feel them at the time of the Eclipse. And they last for longer. The effects of lunar eclipse are pretty immediate. The effects of solar eclipse take longer. Note that eclipse’s effects are even stronger when another planet later on transits across the degree area of the earlier eclipse. Eclipses can leave a patch of stagnant energy in the heavens. This will be triggered if another planet subsequently transits through this patch.

Maybe the Eclipse will smash structures in your life that have outlived their usefulness for your destiny, or maybe the Eclipse will smash situations that are wrong for you true life path – painful though this may be both to experience and to understand. And note that maybe these eclipses will offer you opportunities for shared purpose with your loved ones to find their higher spiritual purpose.

1a. New Moon Solar Eclipse on 13.7.18 at 02.48 am.

First of all,, in July 2018, there’s a Solar Eclipse. This Solar Eclipse is at 26 Vedic Gemini using the Sidereal Vedic Zodiac. It’s in Punarvasu Nakshatra (ruled by Jupiter).

In western astrology, it is at 20 deg Cancer using the Tropical zodiac.

Here are the charts:

Vedic Astrology Chart July 2018

Eclipse July 2018 ChartPluto: Really Big Note: Note that that the Sun/Moon of this eclipse are exactly opposition Pluto. So, check if this Eclipse and ‘death and rebirth’ intense power of planet Pluto affect your natal chart or natal planets or a sensitive house. If so, there will be big effects.

With Pluto in such exact opposition to this Solar Eclipse, we are offered profound transformation: challenging or harmonious.

Because this eclipse is in Vedic Gemini, communication skills and information issues in your life could experience breakthrough, and you could cooperate with that trend if you feel it coming your way.

Gemini, and also Punarvasu need to be understood. There is a danger of asking questions rather than wanting answers. Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is fickle and androgynous and changeable. There’s versatile adaptable glissando. Mercury’s over-questioning can trash needed action and direction. Illogic as well as logic. Our personal standing and power an energy can be squandered if we use its energy for Mercury-style ‘politically correct’ futile FaceBook posts on social and political issues that are really unacknowledged working out of our personal issues, that more properly should be a focus for real healing and empowerment work, or for focus on shocking scandals or conspiracy theories that don’t really lie at the heart of our life issues! This is damaging to you because, magically, its drain to parade and posture and identify with factions, rather than empower. Mercury can really harm our Mars for example.  In fact, crucially, we have to learn to draw on the two hemispheres of our brain.

I am including some personal comment in this newsletter to show briefly how we can start to analyse how an eclipse will affect us personally. So, I note that the Ascendant of this eclipse conjuncts my natal Uranus, and this will enhance the inspirational revolutionary current that has been running in my life and work. And Uranus of this eclipse is conjunct my nodal axis, and I feel a destined revolution running in my work and life, my astrology readings, the expansion of my various courses.

1b. Full Moon Lunar Eclipse 27.7.18 at 20.21 pm.

This Eclipse Full Moon of 27th July 2018 is the longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century (2001 to 2100), lasting for 1 hour and 43 minutes, and this means its effects will be big and will be felt for a long time to come. Eclipse Sun is 10 Vedic Cancer (Pushyami Nakshatra) – Eclipse Moon 10 Vedic Capricorn (Sravana Nakshatra).

Using the western Tropical zodiac, eclipse Moon and Sun are at 4 deg Aquarius – 4 deg Leo.

Note that the Moon of this eclipse is conjunct the powerful and angry Ketu-Mars conjunction (see below). Eclipse Sun is conjunct Rahu North Node.

Here is the map of this Eclipse’s visibility:

Eclipse July 2018 Vedic Chart 1

Eclipse July 2018 Vedic Chart 2

To assess the effects of an eclipse in your life, you need to study which House in your Vedic birth chart the eclipse occurs in.

So, how does the chart of this eclipse interact with your birth chart?

Well, note that this is the most telling of the three eclipses, and note also that it will be aggressive and even violent energy due to the conjunction of this eclipse Moon with Mars. And note this Mars is exalted in Capricorn, and its made more irritable and frustrated because it is retrograde at the time of this eclipse. And out in the world, with this eclipse being conjunct the Mars-Ketu conjunction (see below for more on that), this eclipse will manifest in violence, volcanic eruptions, forest fires, aggression. However, astrology is not about scaremongering or sensationalism. We need to note its divine meaning in our life.

I can share that Uranus of this eclipse is conjunct my nodal axis and I feel a destined revolution and inspiration running in my work and life and in some ways redirecting it. The astrology readings and courses feel very inspired.

But note that this huge and long-running eclipse will generate pressures, anger, anxiety and frustration. Please see the need to keep calm in the face of this energy.

As this eclipse is in Sravana Nakshatra, check out whether you are ‘failing to listen’ to the real and deep message of what transpires.

And it is so very important and relevant to note that this Eclipse is actually also T-square to Uranus it is T-square to the revolutionary irritable supreme planet of change in your life and consciousness: Uranus.

In analysing the effect of an Eclipse in your chart and in your life, the biggest issue is: where is the eclipsed Moon in relation to your birth chart? But you’d also look at where eclipse Uranus is (as Uranus is T-square the Eclipse axis) and you’d also look where eclipse Nodal axis and Ascendant are, and also check out significant planets in the eclipse chart in relation to your own birth chart.

So, here are some very brief one size fits all ‘standard meanings’: You can calculate the House number from Ascendant (Lagna) or from Moon (Janma) in your Vedic birth chart. Note that calculation from Ascendant tends to give the stronger prediction meaning. Remember, eclipses undam dammed up energies, so whether an eclipse’s effects on you are positive or negative will depend on how well you are on course for your meant destiny in life. It is essential to realize that if you are off course, and eclipse will bring downfall, but of course here we hit the issue of phenomenology, because if your life is off course, then you need collapse of that life-style to have any hope of getting your life on-course again.

Eclipse effect on the Houses of your Vedic birth chart
(It is the sidereal zodiac Vedic birth chart that gives the surest result):

Aries: eclipse in 10th House: Major shakeup in career pending.
Taurus: eclipse in 9th house: shakeup in area of beliefs, guru/teacher, higher learning.
Gemini: eclipse in 8th house: Changes in shared Financial Arrangements, Inheritance, Physical or emotional Vitality, or Metaphysical Studies.
Cancer: eclipse in 7th House: changes in the balance between yourself and spouse.
Leo: eclipse in 6th House: shakeup in areas such as legal issues, handling of enemies, personal health and immunity.
Virgo: eclipse in 5th House: earthquake in relationship with children, or in matters of creativity, or in romance, or in spiritual matters and past life merit.
Libra: Eclipse in 4th House: major change in issues to do with mother or home, domestic patterns, activities and happiness. Some change to do with car.
Scorpio: Eclipse in 3rd House: big change is issues of skills, talents, initiative, writing/communication, siblings.
Sagittarius: 2nd House: big change in income, issues to do with mouth and teeth, your voice, value issues.
Capricorn: 1st House: big shock or empowerment to issues of personal health and presence in the world, personal health, your appearance. Positive transformation of position in the world or Downfall.
Aquarius: 12th House: huge effect on issues of loss, institution issues/connections, residence abroad.
Pisces: eclipse in 11th House: major change/shake-up in issues of gains, profits, goals, ambitions, associates.

Then study Eclipse effects on your natal planets:
You also need to take into special note is the Eclipse falls on one of your natal planets. Essentially, we are talking about the Eclipse Moon falling on one of your natal planets, but we also need to consider other key planets from the eclipse chart and its Nodal axis or Ascendant falling on one of your natal planets.

Here is a simple ‘one size fits all’ meaning for Eclipse impact on one of your natal planets:
Eclipse impact on:

Your Sun brings out your expression of self and decisiveness. It creates a crisis or a leap forwards. It is time to shine, but you may need to let go of your old life in order to eb able to do that. Take action. Do Vision Work and Magical Will work.

Your Moon brings hurt emotional events leading to crisis and vulnerability. Can be rooted in mother or the past. Might involve a move of house or job, of major re-creation of your life to make it reflect your spiritual truth and true self. Life will not be the same again. Your Mother may be affected.

Your Mercury can lead to a mental crisis or important rational insights. There could be a trickster energy. There will be a lot of sorting out of your thinking. This could affect friendships and trade issues.

Your Venus creates major crisis or breakthrough in love. Alternatively issues of your finances, inspiration in art, and indeed motor cars can be affected. There could be a fated new love relationship. There could be strong sexual urges. Clear any blocks to love or ‘heart walls’. Venus is the wife in a man’s chart.

Your Mars creates outbursts and arguments. These can be constructive or destructive. Or there could be a surge of physical vitality.

Your Jupiter could bring expansiveness and sense fo purpose, inspiration and ideals. You need to take care to keep this sort of expansion properly grounded and supported. Jupiter is the husband in a woman’s chart.

Your Saturn means either golden reaping because you are on course for your true life purpose, or it means professional downfall. This will be a he milestone and turning point in your life. You will be forced to acknowledge that you must ‘get out of your prison’, or that you must be more realistic and dot the I’s and cross the t’s in your life and get things more grounded. Ideally this is the opening to take a seasoned step up. You will be tested around your use of responsibility. Suffering will become a huge and important issue for you to handle correctly. You may receive burdens.

Your Uranus means the Struck Tower card in the Tarot. inspiration, more expansive life or consciousness, revolution. Apparent eccentricity. Beware being heartless. Become the wild child, the free spirit, or the original genius. Ride out the creative wave that has picked you up.

Your Neptune means that you could realize that you are enmeshed in delusion or denial. You could find yourself in a fog. But this eclipse calls you to strip out the delusion.

Your Pluto ideally means empowerment. Face your shadow. Confront your inner demons. gain the strength to face your shadow. It could mean trauma, and the need not to be crippled by fear and your energy could become compulsive, driven or obsessive. You will need to develop ways to confront and understand and heal yourself. You face a personal challenge.

Your Chiron: you need to find healing modalities that will assist you to heal the existential wound indicated by your astrology birth chart. In this process you could become the healer of others.

Your natal North Node/Rahu: you will become driven to manifest your incarnational life purpose, but you will ned to purify this energy if you are to arrive at the destination it points to.

Your natal South Node/Ketu: chasms will open under your life, but with divine purpose to transform or end that life so that you are put in touch with spiritual meaning.

Your Ascendant (Lagna): Collapse in personal health and presence in the world, or revolutionary transformation for the better in these.

1c. New Moon Solar Eclipse 11.8.18 at 09.58 am.

And, as I said, there’s a third eclipse upcoming in this present cycle. There’s another Solar eclipse. This one’s on August 11th. I am mentioning this now, because what this means is that the ‘window’ of eclipse activity will be much longer than usual.

The Sun and the Moon of this eclipse are 24 deg Vedic Cancer in Ashlesha Nakshatra.

Sun and Moon are at 18 western Leo.
And note that the Sun and Moon of this eclipse are conjunct Mercy which is Retrograde at this time.
Note that Uranus squares the Nodal Axis and Mars of this eclipse chart.

So, sharing my personal analysis here, so that it can be seen how to interpret eclipse effects, note that the Sun, Moon and Mercury of this eclipse are exactly conjunct my natal Pluto! I see this as undamming ‘coming more into my power’ and of course we can do healing and empowerment work of different kinds to assist these processes, and that is one of the fundamental principles of the astrology of my readings and courses.
And Uranus of this eclipse is conjunct my North node in my birth chart which is bringing inspiration and a lot of change.

2.The long-running Mars- Ketu/South Node conjunction:

This huge energy also needs to be understood and managed for your great good. It’s powerful, and it can manifest on many different planes of life: dynamism, inspirational and magical, other planes more technical, and others again that are violent. It can create accidents, loss of property etc.
Will you trail-blaze, or will you dig a hole for yourself? The Mars-Ketu conjunction began when Mars entered Vedic Capricorn on 2nd May 2018, when Ketu was already transiting there. This Mars-Ketu conjunction will remain widely in force until 6th November, when Mars finally leaves Vedic Capricorn and enters Vedic Aquarius on that date.

The Mars-Ketu conjunction is actually exact three times: First, when Mars transits over Ketu direct on June 7th at 13 degrees Vedic Capricorn. Second, when Mars transits over Ketu retrograde on July 20 at 11 degrees Capricorn and Third, when Mars crosses over Ketu direct on September 25th. Note that this Mars Ketu conjunction starts the month of July at 14 deg Vedic Capricorn, or 9 deg western Aquarius.

I would like to make the point that we can understand this energy shafting into our consciousness and our lives at different planes, levels and areas, as is the case with all astrological energies. We will experience it at the human level, also at the social / political level, and also at the wider level, and also of course at our own individual personal level. Let’s now study the meaning and manifestation of this current Mars Ketu conjunction at these four levels:

2a. The Mars Ketu conjunction at the human level:
Mars is assertion, anger, aggression, exercise and activity, leadership. Like Mars, Ketu is a malefic and Ketu can increase the aggression and in some people’s cases: the seething. This can be an energy of hostility and ill-will. Resentment, agitation and criticism. But positively this is an energy for technical skill, and I found that it opens up magical empowerment work possibilities for some people. Ketu can bring up issues from the past at this time.

2b. The Mars Ketu conjunction at the social/political level:
We can look at Turkish politics as a case example: My impression is that Turkey chose a day with dreadful energies for its election, on June 24th 2018, where the minds of citizens would be disturbed and made aggressive by the current Mars-Ketu conjunction. To make emotions more difficult, the Moon had started its transit through Vedic Scorpio, and this has to be understood in the context that, at the moment, there is a succession of three malefic signs in Vedic Astrology that upset the Moon in its monthly travel through the twelve signs, and therefore upset our minds: Vedic Scorpio, where the Moon is Fallen; Vedic Sagittarius which is currently occupied by retrograde Saturn, then Vedic Capricorn, currently occupied by the Mars-Ketu conjunction. People in Turkey distrusted the News and the election result. They found it very difficult to manage their emotions and anger. Supporters of President Erdogan were firing shot guns into the air.
I sadly have not space here to analyse the chart for the election in relation to the birth chart for Turkey, but note that the current Ketu-Mars conjunction generated fear and aggression in the population, given the endemic background fear generated by the slide of Turkey since the 2016 Coup into a Dictatorship dancing to Islamic Syrian / Iranian interests. The populace is also destabilised by the likely fragmentation of the EU, and the Islamic nature of Turkey’s less educated majority, coupled with the inevitable slide of Turkey towards Russia/Syrian/Iran identification.
Rahu is transiting Neptune in Turkey’s 2nd House, at present, which creates monetary illusions of balancing inflation and monetary value given the uncertainty created by US/Russian activities in Syria. And the Turkish currency has suffered much devaluation over that last year and a half. Also, how typical and difficult of Rahu to natal Neptune transit that Turkey should be a nominal member of NATO at the same time prioritise its Russian/Syrian alliance.

2c. The Mars Ketu conjunction at the wider than human level:
That the energy of this conjunction manifest on many planes of life and consciousness, and at the wider than human level.
There have been forest fires and also a rise in the murder rate in Ireland. There have been torrential rains and storms in some arts, and drought in others. There were even forest fires in Ireland on 1st July, and more. The fiery element of this conjunction flares into all areas and manifest in the different levels. For example, as Mars-Ketu conjunction is in Capricorn, this gives technical skill, for example building work. There has been an increase in Volcanic eruptions at the time of this conjunction. Mars entered Capricorn on 3rd May, and on the same day there was a big eruption on Hawaii.

2d. The Mars Ketu conjunction at my personal level: With the inspirational possibilities of Ketu, I have found this conjunction has increased involvement in deep study, magic and breakthrough inspiration flowing. I have created a Magical Will Course. Remember that this conjunction has basically been in Shravana Nakshatra in Vedic Astrology’s wonderful 27-sign Lunar Zodiac. And the nature of Sravana is ‘listening’, and I do believe that this has increased the inspirational nature that this Nakshatra has bursts of. But, fascinatingly, also, at another manifestation of this Mars-Ketu in Capricorn energy, I have been building an extension to our House / Healing Centre / B&B, since the Mars-Ketu conjunction started. Capricorn is about technical skill. And weirdly, the energy of that conjunction even invaded our tiny lane (called a ‘boreen’). Here in the remote Wild Atlantic Way, a mile from the Atlantic Ocean: our tiny lane was unexpectedly singled out to have huge drainage ditches dug and filled with aggregate to drain rain water away into the river at the bottom of our garden, and then the lane was surfaced by juggernauts that turned up. They were bigger than our house. What an astounding manifestation of the Mars – Ketu energy: me building at the back, and the juggernauts ripping the old road surface apart and laying tar. It sounded and looked like a sudden alien invasion of the West of Ireland. See the pics:

2e. Mars Retrograde: Note that Mars is retrograde all July: from June 26th until August 27th and this will increase the aggressiveness and irritation, but also the procrastination and delay, blocks and outbursts. The building work gets held up! You could wallow in frustration and disillusion and catastrophizing. Mars becomes harder for us to express and manage. But the positive response to all this is to develop patience and realism. Calmly decide to ‘bow to the inevitable’ and choose your priorities.

2f. Mercury is opposition the Mars Ketu conjunction exactly around July 3rd to 5th.

2g. Uranus is square the Mars-Ketu conjunction through July. This is really important. The extra impatience will be felt. Revolution will be felt. Inspiration will come in bursts. It’s earthquake energy. And Mars is casting a square aspect on Uranus and Aries too. It’s enormous!

2h. What House of your birth chart does this Mars-Ketu conjunction transit in?

This question of what house in your birth chart the Mars Ketu conjunction occupies, needs to be understood in order to really individualise your analysis of how the Mars Ketu conjunction will manifest in your life. Here’s some stabs at meaning for a couple of examples, the signs where the Ket-Mars conjunction manifests most strongly. You can best calculate the house number by counting from your Ascendant (Lagna), or you can count it from your natal Moon (Janma). Of course, you need to use a more personalised and more deeply considered meaning of the energy, than the following couple of brief examples given here for the purpose of simple indication:

Aries Lagna or Moon: So, for example, for Aries, the Mars Ketu conjunction is in your Capricorn 10th house, so will your career disintegrate or be riven with new inspiration and revolution? Mars rules Aries and he is conjunct Ketu: you might want to melt down your life.
Libra: the Mars-Ketu conjunction is in your 4th House. Will there be nagging and arguing in the home? Will there be good and useful DIY?
Scorpio: The Mars Ketu conjunction could give you incisive focus, but be careful not to become too ruthless.
Capricorn: will be experiencing overwhelm. There’s also the lunar eclipse here which could bring huge change. Take measures to manage your mind and emotions as pressures unfold.

3.The Kal Sarpa Yoga

The Kal Sarpa Yoga re-asserts itself from the middle of the month, from 17th July.
Kal Sarpa Yoga is when all the planets of Vedic Astrology to one side of the nodal axis, and this can usually (but not absolutely always) be a very divisive energy in the world, and in your life.
Here’s the chart:

So again, compare the Kal Sarpa in the heavens now to your own birth chart, to work out the effects.

As I said, the Kal Sarpa Yoga is when all the Vedic planets are conjoining the Nodes of the Moon, or to one side of them only. But I want to say that there’s a special case when the Moon in the heavens is out on its own, outside the bunch of the rest of the Vedic planets to their side of the nodal axis. This occurs in July.

On 30th July the Moon leaves the Vedic planets all bunched to one side of the Nodal axis, so you could say that this ends the Kal Sarpa Yoga. But this would be wrong. Note that this does not end the energy of Kal Sarpa Yoga. What it does do is leave our Minds and consciousness to now have to deal with the energy of an ‘unsupported Moon’ as well as the divisiveness of Kal Sarpa Yoga. To have your Moon alone and unsupported by other planets in the signs to either side of it is a special to be noted problem feature declared by the Vedic birth chart called Kemadruma yoga. This undermines the stability of the mind. So, note that the Kal Sarpa remains in force until 6th November, when Mars, the first planet to break the Nodal cordon, leaves the Nodal axis, and Mars enters Vedic Aquarius on that date.

4.Retrograde Planets Summary July 2018:

There are Seven Retrograde Planets in July 2018. The meaning of some of these are dealt with in more detail below. They are:
Mars and Saturn, Neptune and Pluto, are retrograde all the month of July.
Jupiter is retrograde at the start of the month.
Mercury goes Retrograde under rather turbulent conditions at the end of the month on July 26th. See below.
Chiron turns retrograde on July 5th2018 See below.

5.Mercury Retrograde:

Mercury turns retrograde on July 26th at 29 deg Vedic Cancer.
Mercury is transiting now in the water sign of Cancer, and Mercury in Cancer is not easy for the mind. Intellect and communication can become over emotional and confused.Cancer seeks protection, and Mercury evasions can be dwelt in in an illusory attempt to shelter in unreal and futile ‘protection’. And remember, Mercury is also at this time receiving an opposition aspect from the Ketu-Mars conjunction in Capricorn.
Note that what we have here is Retrograde Mercury in Vedic Cancer opposition Retrograde Mars in Vedic Capricorn. This is a problem combination for IT issues, for posts and communications, and also for misunderstandings and arguments.
Mercury and Mars are enemies in Vedic Astrology. Mars doesn’t have the patience. Mercury over-discusses! Retrograde Mars explodes with anger at its frustration with Mercury. Patience, care and calm is needed at this time! AND note also that Mercury is conjunct driven Rahu!

The Mercury retrograde starts in Ashlesha Nakshatra (ruled by Mercury) and Ashlesha’s deity is ‘Sarpa’ or serpent, and so this will increase the tendency to arguments and hurt and wanting to defeat enemies. The ‘shakti’ of Ashlesha is ‘poison’, or troubled emotions, and so this needs to be handled with accompanying spiritual awareness. And of course, the transition point from Cancer to Leo is Gandanta. (Gandanta is the three zones in the Vedic Sidereal zodiac of up to 4 deg either side of the transition point from water sign to fire sign (Pisces-Aries, Cancer-Leo and Scorpio-Sagittarius, where planets are insubstantial, unconfident and ill-attuned to the material world). So, the fact is that Mercury is in the Gandanta from July 16th to August 3rd, and then again to Sep 1st to the 4th.

And in addition to all that, Mercury is also actually caught up with the eclipsed Sun and Moon on 11th August.

So, during this Mercury Retrograde period, we will ned to take extra special care of posts and communications, deliveries and our IT processes. We will need to take extra special effort to keep our minds and speech calm. Take care to avoid drama. Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo, so Gemini and Virgo people will feel pretty insecure while all this is going on, and will need to take steps to remain grounded.

6. Jupiter turns from Retrograde to Direct:

At the time of Jupiter’s station on 10th July, he is actually within a Grand Cross being opposition Uranus and T-square to the Nodes. Here is the chart for the Jupiter Station Grand Cross:

A Grand Cross is a big energy that fills the chart. Do check out how this Grand Cross relates to the planets in your birth chart. And note that Jupiter will bring his expansionary energy which will magnify the energies in this Grand Cross. Note that as Jupiter gets established in his renewed forward motion after 10th July, growth that has been blocked will free up. The energy will become more positive. But do note also, that Jupiter will be transiting through Swati nakshatra until August 1st, and Swati is ruled by Rahu and prone to scatter and be nervous, so Jupiter’s expansiveness will not be steady. Jupiter finally leaves Vedic Leo on 12th October.

Jupiter trine Neptune: However, it is important to note that a Jupiter Neptune Trine is formed in the heavens at this time, as you can see from the above Jupiter Station chart for July 10th, and the energy of Jupiter trine Neptune is intuitive and compassionate, and this will be in the background for humanity.

 7. The Sun:

Sun moves into Vedic Cancer on 16th July. But the ‘divine king’ energy of the Sun needs to be steadied in our minds, and while Sun is in Vedic Cancer, the Divine King is challenged. This is because he is in the same sign as Retrograde Mercury and also Rahu, and because he receives an opposition from the Mars-Ketu conjunction. He also has to face two eclipses while he is in Cancer: the Lunar Eclipse of 27th July and the Solar Eclipse of 11th August.
So, we will need to monitor if this unsteadiness of the divine Sun is destabilising or weakening us in our lives, and if do we will ned to counteract this.

8.Venus enters Vedic Sign of Leo: Venus will transit Vedic Leo from July 5th to August 1st. The fact is that Venus does not do well in Leo which is ruled by the Sun. the Sun ‘starves’ Venus in Leo. This is because the ambition and show off nature of the Sun detracts from Venus relationship commitments. So, you may need to keep conscious awareness and sharing with your loved one about this energy that is going on.

9.The Venus – Neptune Opposition:

Venus – Neptune opposition in the heavens at the time of this eclipse. This transiting Venus is in opposition my natal Venus, and I have had such visionary beautiful energies during the long run of this Neptune to Venus transit. They are transforming the novel I am currently writing. I am developing earth spirituality courses and sacred Ireland Tours around where I live, and developing a website about all this with a colleague in Chicago who is a musician and artist.

10.The Saturn – Pluto Conjunction:

Remember, Saturn and Pluto now Retrograde are steadily forming into the Saturn Pluto conjunction which will be exact in January 2010 at 27 Vedic Sagittarius. Do be aware if you have planets around, square or opposition that point. It’s a truly implacable held energy. And of course, Ketu joins the Saturn – Pluto conjunction on 7.3.2019.

11.Chiron square Saturn (and Retrograde):

Chiron turns retrograde on July 5th. At this time, he is square to Saturn. Chiron square Saturn points us beyond Saturn’s pragmatism and blocks, to find the healing that we need, to connect to our life-essence, to our True Self.

Astrology and Healing Magazine: June 2018

Welcome to the June 2018, sixth Edition of Maggie Pashley and Michael Conneely’s: Astrology and Healing Magazine.
This is brought to you from their Healing Centre on the wild Atlantic way coast of Sligo in the West of Ireland.

And this month’s Healing issue covers Overcoming Fears and Phobias.

Plus, clear and empowering inspirational expression of the Astrology of June 2018.

There’s a video to go with each section: the healing and the astrology.

MAGGIE PashleyMaggie Pashley on Overcoming Fears and Phobias

Fears and phobias can have a devastating and limiting effect on our lives and also that of our family and loved ones. A fear of flying can make the prospect of long-distance travel, either for business or pleasure a nightmare. A phobia of spiders can make us incapacitated whenever we see one, which can become even more of an issue if we are parents to young children. In fact, we can pass on a phobic reaction to our children. Career prospects and promotions can be stymied by fear of public speaking or freezing up in an interview situation, despite being more than qualified for the role. And of course, there are many phobias that people can try hard to keep hidden out of shame as they appear so silly or irrational.

And yet, phobias can often be dissolved quickly despite having plagued us for decades. This may seem surprising but it only took a moment to create one in the first place. One dramatic painful incident such as a sudden bite from a dog can make us wary of all dogs, make us avoid situations where we are likely to have to come into close contact with one.  A phobia is much stronger and reactive than a fear and can be even life-threatening as a phobic does anything to get away from whatever they are terrified of, without considering the consequences. It is pointless to try to rationalise with somebody having a phobic reaction eg ‘it’s only a little spider, it’s probably more frightened of you etc’ as the rational part of them is completely off-line.

Our limbic system, and especially the right amygdala, that part of our brain which responds to sudden stresses, fires off when we are faced with a potentially dangerous situation.  If there is no real threat then the amygdala should then return to stand-by. For example, we hear a loud noise realise it’s just an engine backfiring and it’s nothing to do with us and our amygdala can calm down again. In a trauma situation the amygdala does not calm down but is constantly being activated, and it is like the danger is still present. That frightening experience is lodged into the right hemisphere of our brain which can continue to fuel it with our imagination and catastrophise. Moreover, our right hemisphere has no sense of time so it cannot date stamp the experience and put it into the past, nor can it apply logic to put it into perspective.

So to just try to desensitisation to a phobia, is more or less teaching somebody to feel more comfortable with discomfort. It does not generally change the underlying response and it takes a lot of energy.

What I have realised is, it is important is create a lasting change in that response and freedom from that fear or phobia is to work energetically and specifically to create a cross-hemispheric communication so that the left brain can date stamp the experience, can put it into the past and can apply some logic.

The approach that I like using for fears and phobias is called Psy-TaP which offers rapid techniques for dealing with fears and phobias. This often includes the use of a light-pen or light sabre to facilitate that left-right brain integration of an experience and turn it from a horror story into a simple memory. It also includes other practical techniques designed to give rapid shifts from unwanted behaviours and install new and positive ones. And without that old phobia, we are naturally going to be freer and safer and more able to get on and make the most of life.

Learn more about my Psy-TaP sessions here.

And here is my video:

Michael Conneely on: The Astrology of June 2018

First of all, here’s my video. This is followed a six-point Summary of some main topics for the Astrology of June 2018, and after that comes the full detail:

1.The Challenge to the Stability and Calm of your Mind (and the opportunity) created in that the Moon has to take six days passing through three malefic-energy signs in a row each month. Tantrums, hissy-fits and walk-outs, or being aware of the need to avoid these?

2.The Challenging sharp malefic energy of the MarsKetu/South Node conjunction in Vedic Capricorn, which has potentials for sharp, violence, rise in the murder rate, terrorism, technical skill, grumbling, anger, and/or:
If you are skilled: the development of your Magical Will!
And note that the energies are building to the earthquake strikes of the Eclipses of 13th and 27th July, indeed where the 27th July eclipse is conjunct the Mars-Ketu/South Node conjunction!
Which House in your Vedic chart does the Mars-Ketu conjunction and the 27th July fall in? And what are the affairs of that House? And how will you handle this? We will feel the eclipses energy gathering from mid-June onwards. Do check out my 2018 astrology web page to see where these July eclipses are in the heavens and to check out what areas of your life might be subject to earthquake, and of course to see, now, if things are too stuck and tense, and you need to alter things in your life.

3.There’s a difficult transit of Venus, where Venus is transiting first in opposition to Saturn and Pluto, then conjunct Rahu/North Node and in opposition Mars-Ketu/South Node. Venus is conjunct Rahu exact, and opposition Mars exact, on 20th June. And – no it’s not true what they say. The Venus-Mars combination is NOT good for love, nor even for passion! See the photo!

4.The lightning-bolt wielder: the Revolution-bringer God Uranus, transits opposition Jupiter, as Venus transits opposition Mars (on the Nodal axis), these two crossed oppositions creating a ferociously divine opportunity of a Cardinal Cross in the Heavens, now.

5. Mercury transits opposition Saturn and Pluto. Mercury is opposition Saturn exact on 16th June and opposition Pluto exact on 23rd June. Will this be deep knowledge, or travel problems and IT disruptions?

6. Neptune is very powerful all month due to his slowing to stationary on 19th June, then turning retrograde. How will this affect you? Vision or delusion? Neptune’s retrograde lasts five months.

7. New Moon 13th June, Full Moon 28th June.

For the planets’ movement in June 2018, please see the Tables, below, and also my 2018 astrology website pages.

Now, here’s more detail on the topics of the Astrology of June 2018:

1.Challenge to the Stability and Calm of your Mind: The big news for June 2018 is that three malefic Houses in a row have been created, and this makes for a period of six days each month when the Moon passes through a prolonged turbulent area in space, that will challenge the stability of our minds.
These three consecutive Vedic signs are: The Vedic sign of Scorpio (which always opens the Moon and therefore our mind to hurts, turbulence and conflicts), the Vedic sign of Sagittarius (where retrograde Saturn is transiting, as well as Pluto) and then the Vedic sign of Capricorn where the cutting energy of Mars and Ketu/South Node grows ever closer.
The two sets of dangerous dates in June are May 28thwhen there’s the Full Moon in Vedic Scorpio to June 3rd. then: June 24thto 30th.
This is such useful warning to receive. Our task is to use this foreknowledge to avoid turbulence, hurt and conflict!

The remaining dangerous days while this three-fold sequence lasts in the heavens are;

July 21th to 27th.
August 18th to 23rd.
September 14th to 20th.
October 11th to 18th.

2. Mars-Ketu in Capricorn: Mars in Capricorn is good for technical skills, real estate, power, discipline and courage, but it’s also warrior energy. Mars is exalted in Capricorn – but Exalted planets can be over-powerful. They can damage their House or they can damage other planets. In my readings and course, I teach the use of Avasthas which give good quick guidance as to the standing of your planets and the ways your planets treat each other.  Mars turns Retrograde on 26th June, then Direct on 27th August, so Mars is actually in Vedic Capricorn an exceptional time, until Nov 6th.
But be very careful not to let your life get out of hand when we remember the twist to the tale, namely that Ketu is also transiting Vedic Capricorn, and be very careful around the date when this conjunction is exact on 13th June. This has potential for violence, murders and terrorism.
But it also has intuition and also great technical skill potential, and in fact a magical energy work energy, and I have started teaching a Magical Energy Work Course, aimed at providing means to create healing/empowering Vision, and also intensify that vision and develop your ways of holding on to and sustaining your healing and empowering vision (rather than let it get forgotten, or its energy trickle away into the sands. Fourteen people are already working on it. Email me for details if you feel it would assist you.

With Rahu/North Node transiting through Vedic Cancer, issues of fears, security, safety and nurturance surface to eb understood and worked with. Check out which House in your Vedic birth chart is Cancer to understand this transit of Rahu, the North Node of the Moon.

Mars retrograde: Watch out for your initiatives going awry or having delays or hiccups, SETBACKS AND OUTBURSTS, when Mars turns retrograde around June 25th onwards.

3.Your Vedic Predictive Periods: Of course, Transits are not at all the whole of Vedic Predictive Astrology. There’s the wonderful and powerful Vedic Predictive periods and sub-periods, the Dasas, and also Varshaphal or Solar Returns. And in Western Astrology, I also use the Individuation Age Points and the Nodal Age points of Psychodynamic Astrology, plus of course Lunar Returns (DFY Progression or Secondary Progressions). Get in touch with me for an Astrology Reading, or to join one of my Astrology Courses.

4. Venus and Mercury combine well up to June 9th to bring beauty and singing, pleasant communication and creativity and harmonious relationships, as Venus begins June in Mercury’s sign of Vedic Gemini and Mercury begins June in Venus’ sign of Vedic Taurus. This is an exchange of signs. And on June 9, both Venus and Mercury change signs, Venus into Vedic Cancer and Mercury into Vedic Gemini. Mercury moves quickly through his own sign of Vedic Gemini, and on June 25, Mercury joins Venus in Vedic Cancer for a long-running transit in that sign, where of course Rahu/North node is also transiting. Mercury Transits Cancer June 25th – September 2nd.

5.Sun Transits Vedic Gemini June 15 – July 16 and all this while he receives a restrictive opposition from Saturn in Vedic Sagittarius, exact on June 27th.

6. Uranus transits bring Revolution. Ignore the call and be left a robot! In addition, if you are ages 20-22; 40-43; 60-62 and 82-84 you are feeling the effects of transiting Uranus forming powerful aspects to Uranus in your birth chart.

The orbital period of Uranus is 84 years. So, the last time he was transiting here (6 Vedic Aries, 1 western Taurus) was when the Second World War was starting.

7.Jupiter and Neptune are in trine, which can be intuitive and visionary. Neptune is stationary this month, at 22 Vedic Aquarius, in PurvaBhadra Nakshatra. The exact date of station is June 18th. Do check out which House in your chart for the area of life where stationary Neptune will be powerful. Check out your current transits of Neptune to your natal planets. Neptune transits can be totally life-changing for good or ill.

8.Mercury, Neptune and Jupiter form a Grand Trine in Water from 19thto 21stJune. You can see this in the following western astrology chart for 19thJune:

A Grand Trine in Water points to an intuitive energy, but you have to work on, harvest and ground it. In my readings and courses, I teach a vast array of interpretation of Chart Aspect Shapes as part of Psychosynthesis Astrology. Psychosynthesis was created by Robert Assaglione.

9. Pluto is at 26 Vedic Sagittarius. I use the Age Points of psychodynamic western astrology in my courses and readings. My Nodal age point is aspecting my natal Pluto at present. The Nodal Age point tells you ‘The Whisper of your Soul to you’ now. I am feeling such empowerment.

10. Chiron has recently entered Western Aries. This is so valuable to study as it raises for us to identify and heal: existential wounds to our self-expression.

11.The Grand Cross:

Here’s the Vedic then Western Chart for 23rd June. You can clearly see the Grand Cross:

Uranus is opposite Jupiter
And Venus-Rahu/North Node is opposition Mar-Ketu/South Node.
In very summary, this is expansionary for people with planets in Vedic Aries and Libra. Seize your opportunity.
But Rahu makes Venus driven, and Mars opposition Venus is maybe more prone to anger in relationship than true passion or love.

The fact that Uranus is squaring Mars, and Ketu is conjuncting Mars will lead to violence and earthquakes.

Michael Conneely

Astrology and Healing Magazine May 2018

Welcome to the May 2018 fifth Edition of Maggie and Michael’s Astrology and Healing Magazine, brought to you from their Healing Centre on the wild Atlantic way coast of Sligo in the West of Ireland.

This month’s issue covers the Healing modality of Befriending Your Unconscious Mind.

Plus clear and empowering inspirational expression of the Astrology of May 2018, especially:
Key dates to watch the working of your mind
and also
Understanding two key opportunities for developing occult insight and your necessary personal magical Will.

Astrologically speaking, the big theme for May 2018 (and beyond up to November) is:
1. that Mars enters Vedic Capricorn to create a conjunction there with Ketu, which is square Uranus.
2.  Saturn remains transit in Sagittarius.
3.  the Moon always faces challenge affecting the management of our minds, each month, when it goes through the sign of Vedic Scorpio.
So, note that what is created now, until November, is a sequence of three malefic signs for the Moon to pass through each month so as to create a big and palpable three-sign challenge to our management of our Minds. The dates are given below for each month. Note these and be prepared, and don’t be negatively affected.

BUT, above all, this can be a case of ‘out of darkness light’. Note that this can be a huge opportunity for you to use the distress or disempowerment to take two magical empowering steps:
a. You have opportunity and reason to develop Occult Awareness, and
b. This is a crucial chance to identify, develop and use your Magical Will.

There’s a video to go with each section: the healing and the astrology.

First of all, Maggie’s wonderful presentation on Healing:

MAGGIE BEST JUNE 16Maggie’s Healing Modality: Befriending Your Unconscious Mind

All the approaches I use with clients focus on empowering them to be more in touch with their own inner resources and to find solutions and insights that are unique to them and that work for them.

Many years ago, an old trainer of mine said how clients come to us because they are out of rapport with their own unconscious and that my job was to act as a mediator or translator to improve that relationship. That is very different to me making up my mind about that is right for them and imposing my own version of their ideal life on them, or even worst imposing the same preconceived idea of what is right on everybody!!

So, let me give you my understanding of the role of the unconscious mind and how it really deserves to be seen as our friend and ally. Our unconscious mind is that part of us that controls and maintains our body functions, that stores our memories, that helps us access learned skills and habits easily (for good or bad!!), it connects us to the energies around us and gives us information and runs programs that it thinks are keeping us safe. I use the word ‘think’ here because sometimes it needs updating. Programs that kept us safe at the age of 6 may now be ones that restrict us and we may need to negotiate to enlist its cooperation to now give us a different response.

To me, it makes a lot of sense that when there are issues concerning our health and body energetics to work with that part of us that is expert in that area. Equally important is to communicate with it in a way it understands and is clear. For example, wanting to be confident at public speaking whilst focussing on all the times we messed up is giving it very confusing messages. So, understanding that the unconscious does not understand negatives (e.g. I don’t want to panic) and responds to images, we can see that the example I gave would produce images of panic and the resulting body response which is not what is intended. We can create a different strategy to communicate what we actually do want. And if there is some underlying memory that is causing that panicked reaction then the unconscious is the place to go to update that memory, to release the energy and the unwanted conditioned response.

The unconscious is very resourceful and creative and can offer responses beyond what we would have been able to come up with just relying on logic and what we consciously know. The famous American hypnotherapist, Milton Erickson, was known to send some of his patients up the nearby mountain Squaw Peak, with the invitation that they would have reached a different understanding or healed an issue by the time they came back down. And invariably they did.

Years ago, I attended a short Huna (Hawaian Shamanism) workshop and was intrigued that in Huna there are seen to be three selves, or three minds, and it is the Basic Self/Unconscious Mind/Body which is the bridge to higher consciousness. And I had been trying to think my way to higher wisdom and largely ignore my body! It was a wake up call to become more embodied and listen to my body’s signals and hunches much more. I believe, in the society we live in, the intellect is generally valued much more than instinctual wisdom so we aren’t encouraged to dialogue with our unconscious. In fact we may learn to fear it, believing that it is irrational (because it is unique to us and may not conform to what those around us believe or be easily justified with logic) or unreliable or make contain lots of murky memories we would rather avoid. What if it could be our friend and ally and help us to live more creatively and happily?

Looking at the different approaches I use with clients I can see how each modality helps build that better rapport with the UM in its own way:

  • Emotion Cody & Body Code – uses muscle testing to get answers from the unconscious. We sometimes find that blocked energies can go back generations or be related to issues we would not have imagined
  • Hypnotherapy – allows a space of relaxed inner focus where we can access and reframe memories, release energies, rehearse new positive scenarios, send messages to our unconscious of what is important to us right now. We can dialogue with it through body signals and ask it to make inner changes.
  • OldPain2Go® dialogues with our unconscious in a very direct and straightforward way to ask the unconscious to reset old pain messages with often startling responses, such as the removal or significant reduction of pain in the body, including emotional pain
  • EFT Tapping and Psy-Tap connect directly with the body’s energetic system
  • Metamorphic Touch uses a gentle touch on the feet, hands and head on areas relating to the prenatal period and provides a space for us to contact our inner wisdom and unique reason for being here
  • Bodywork and energy work allows the body greater freedom and ease which affects us on all levels

Other ways of getting in touch with that deeper inner wisdom include mindfulness, meditation, music, dance, any form of creativity, myth and storytelling, asking questions that open us to more awareness (e.g. what else is possible?), yoga, channelling, breathwork, walking, daydreaming and more. Find out what works for you. And if you feel like having a guide or interpreter to help you, then do get in touch and I’d be happy to work with you. Visit my website to learn more. And apart from hands-on bodywork all the modalities I use can be done over the internet to wherever you are in the world.

So, now to turn to the Astrology of May 2018:

What are the top news items for May for you to be aware of and deal with?

1. The Big One: Mars enters Vedic sign of Capricorn and joins Ketu, the South Node of the Moon – and this conjunction is squared by Uranus:

Ketu – Mars – Uranus really rock the boat! This creates a big challenge and also a big opportunity:

The Challenge: Read below the Key dates to watch the working of your mind
and also
Understand two key opportunities:
For developing your occult insight and
For developing your needed magical Will.

On May 3rd, Mars enters the Vedic sign of Capricorn, occupying Vedic Capricorn for a record time, until November 5th.

So, in terms of the wonderful Nakshatras, the 27 Lunar Signs of Vedic Astrology, this transit starts with Mars in UttarAshada Nakshatra (Lunar Sign) entering Sravana Nakshatra on 28th May.

Ketu is in Sravana, but enters UttarAshadha on 31st August.

And note that using the Western astrology Tropical Zodiac, this Mars transit is 24 Western Capricorn to 23 Western Aquarius.

And a really big note: Mars will be conjunct the lunar eclipse on July 27th.

The big thing to note is that Mars stays such an exceptionally long time in Vedic Capricorn. This is because he includes a Retrograde whilst in this sign:

Mars turns retrograde on 25th June at 15 deg Vedic Capricorn, turning direct again at 4 Capricorn on  28th August. Usually he’s two months in a sign; this year he’s six months in a sign. And often the energy of Mars is more malefic when he’s Retrograde.

The other very big thing to note is that Mars is Exalted in Vedic Capricorn. So, because Mars is very strong in Vedic Capricorn, you need to note what House Capricorn is in your Vedic Chart, and you assess the effects that you might need to prepare for, plan for, deal with, capitalise upon and also the potential difficulties that you might need to manage in your mind, and in the material world, and also heal. Mars in Capricorn is practical and achievement-orientated.

And the very big thing to note is that Ketu South Node is already there transiting in Vedic Capricorn, and so this means that we have a long-running Mars-Ketu conjunction until November – see below.

Now, Ketu brings inspiration or meltdown; it’s antimatter: mysterious and unpredictable. And Uranus is the planet of radical disruption, liberating change and futuristic innovation and inspiration.

And another twist to this tale, is that when Mars enters Vedic Capricorn, the long-running conjunction of transiting Saturn and Mars in Vedic Sagittarius ends. It’s over at last with all its delays and frustrations.

And the endlessly building transiting Mars-Pluto conjunction at 27 Vedic Sagittarius also ebbs now, and people with temporary irritating Mars issues can now calm down!!!

BUT what energy will the long-running Mars/Ketu South Node bring us until November this year?

It can be quite assertive, even violent, especially in world military affairs. There can be fear, anger and uncertainty.

So, if Vedic Capricorn is your 7th House of Marriage, be prepared to spend extra effort to calm down irritations and confrontation and make special effort to build love.

And remember, Mars activation in Relationships can be problematic, this is the basis of Kuja Dosha in the Vedic Astrology of Love and Marriage.

And if Vedic Capricorn is your 4th House of Home, this is good for technical work in the home. Build that extension!

Mars does best when transiting your 3rd, 6th and 11th signs, and not so good when transiting your 5th, 9th and 12th Houses. But it’s not as simple as that because Vedic Astrology also has a wonderful system of assessing how supported (or otherwise) you and your life will be whenever a planet transits one of the signs in your birth chart: your Ashtakavarga score for each planet for each house. Just one of Vedic Astrology’s many special unique interpretative wonders, which means it takes more than one life-time to study! So do get in touch with me for a reading about your year ahead, and including this Mars-Ketu transit. See: www.starwheelastrology.com/buyanastrologyreading.html

Mars’ transit in Vedic Capricorn will be high-powered, full of energy and creative, full of endurance.

Avoid this being a case of intensity leading to explosion.

You can use your Mars transit to boost the affairs of the House that is Capricorn in your birth chart. So, if it’s your 11th House, use it to make money.

But during his Retrograde period, Mars will not be so active and florid, and you will have to take stock and assess what you have done since May 3rd! And evaluate what steps you need to underpin those areas of your life.

And, believe it or not, and this is big: Mars and Ketu will be square Uranus (transiting at 5 – 8 deg Vedic Aries, in Ashwini Nakshatra, during this period).

What lightning is unleashed! What inspiration!

OR how destructive, combative and impatient!!!

There will be explosive happenings and earthquakes. Ketu magnifies Mars! Uranus electrifies Mars! It’s up to you how you handle it.

You have received this invaluable perception. It can be innovation, zeal and inspiration. You decide!

There will be an energy that will include consciousness changes and metaphysical energies. Cultivate harmony. Use this energy for its electric best. Go for that project!

I myself will be using this time working with an artist and musician working with a theatre in Chicago, Douglas Chamberlin, to create a magnificent website to project the Gods and Goddesses, sacred sites of the ancient Irish round here and the Ogham, the Tree Alphabet of the ancient Irish Druids, the earth energies with presentations and vision journeys about them. The website will be called ‘Returning Corra’, seeking to reinstate a local Goddess of the ancient Irish, whom Saint Patrick overthrew from nearby Croagh Patrick in 432 AD, when he did a forty-day retreat on the summit before setting out to convert the Irish to the Roman Catholic Church.

What followed was their loss of land, sovereignty, language, inspiration and freedom, and even their children. But now is the time to end that.

Topics in the website will include the mystical energy work of the ancient Irish Druids, and how to identify and develop and ethically utilise your Magical Will.

Remember, Ketu is moksha karaka, or ‘salvation indicator’. Ketu can give us vast inspiration, sometimes out of horrible situations and karmas, sometimes in the form of melt-downs or sudden openings, or new portals opening wide in your life. The Mars-Ketu conjunction in Vedic Capricorn is in the birth chart of Soren Kierkegaard, whom I studied as an undergraduate at Oxford: logic fuelled by insight leaps and paradoxes! And I’m forever extending my advanced Vedic Astrology courses material. See:
www.advancedvedicastrologycourse.com/

So, what about the BIG CHALLENGE and the BIG OPPORTUNITY that Mars – Ketu – Uranus bring you?

First of all the big challenge. THE MOON: As you know, the Moon transits through all the 12 signs each month. You do need to know your Moon Ashtakavarga score for each sign to be aware how supported you and your Mind and your life will be as the Moon goes through each sign. Watch out for situations where a sign has a high Ashtakavarga score for you, and the next sign drops to a low Ashtakavarga score. This can really throw you into repetitive mind patterns or pessimism or conflict, etc.
Because of the energies I have described in this May monthly forecast, we will receive such forms of mental turbulence as paranoia, repetitive thinking, depression, anxiety, fear and conflicts, from the Moon, for seven days out of every (lunar) month from May to October, as Moon transits monthly through the currently very challenging differ energies of the three signs of Vedic Scorpio (ruled by Mars), Vedic Sagittarius (occupied by transiting Saturn) and Vedic Capricorn (occupied by transiting Mars-Ketu). If we have low or irregular Ashtakavarga scores in these three signs, the mental upset will be worse.

To make it even more difficult, the Moon will have to pass through the difficult Gandanta Zone accurately defined in your birth chart by the transition point from the first to the second of these three signs, from Vedic Scorpio to Vedic Sagittarius.

Please do be aware of the most dangerous dates each month from May to November:

May 1st to 6th and 28th to 31st.
May 28th when there’s the Full Moon in Vedic Scorpio.
June 1st to 3rd.
June 24th to 30th.
July 21th to 27th.
August 18th to 23rd.
September 14th to 20th.
October 11th to 18th.

And now the BIG OPPORTUNITIES, if you can make the effort to grasp them:

#1 Mars-Ketu Conjunction can open Occult awareness, especially as it’s aspected by Uranus, especially as the Moon’s transit towards it each month includes passage through Vedic Scorpio. People are often afraid of occult awareness, but when ethical and properly understood, it is the seed for our transformation, for us becoming the person we were born to become. It includes openness to energies and vision.

#2 This is a well-starred time to learn to develop your Magical Will. The difficulties for your Mind and life of Moon passing through the turmoil of Scorpio, the pessimism of Saturn, and then the wired ‘anti-matter’ of Mars-Ketu-Uranus can impel you to develop and learn to utilise your magical will. Vedic remedies and mantra are valuable, but they are more often ‘management’ than empowering and they can be robotic. Defining the needed goal for your magical will is the needed first step to charting your way forward to become your destiny. It includes visualising the goal. There are a number of deeply ancient ways or reifying the goal and creating a firm constant impetus of manifestation. When the Moon passes through these three signs every month, and because of the energy of Mars-Ketu-Uranus, the resto f 2018 is actually a magical opportunity of the greatest importance, if you can grasp it. As I said, Topics upcoming in my courses will include the mystical energy work of the ancient Irish Druids, and how to identify and develop and ethically utilise your Magical Will.

2. Saturn is Retrograde during May 2018:

Saturn is, of course, the ruler of Vedic Capricorn, the sign where the transiting Mars-Ketu conjunction described above is occurring, and so this brings us to look at the effect of Saturn through the month of May 2018. Saturn is Retrograde.

Saturn is Retrograde from April 17th to  September 6th.

Saturn has been in Vedic Sagittarius from October 2017 and Saturn will remain in that sign until January 2020.

Saturn commences the month of May 2018 at 14 deg Vedic Sagittarius, in PurvAshada Nakshatra, retrograding into Mula Nakshatra on June 5th at 13 deg Vedic Sagittarius.

Saturn turns Direct at 8 deg Vedic Sagittarius, in Mula Nakshatra, and finally returns to Purva Ashadha Nakshatra on 27th November.

Th Saturn retrograde effect and energy is so different from the Mars-Ketu energy. The aim is to be patient and diligent to manifest the inspiration. We may well feel frustration!

3. Jupiter is Retrograde all month:

Jupiter retrogrades from 25 to 21 degrees Libra through May. This is the call to earth and ground our expansionary plans.

  1. The Nodes of the Moon:Rahu retrograded into Pushyami Nakshatra on 27th April, starting May at 16 deg Vedic Cancer, and ending May at 14 deg Vedic Cancer.
  2. Venus entered Taurus on April 20th bringing pleasure, sexual energy, art and socialising, starting the month of May at 14 deg Vedic Taurus. In fact, Venus is sexual and strong in Rohini Nakshatra from April 28th until May 8th.
Venus enters Vedic Gemini on 15th May, and ending the month at 21 deg Vedic Gemini.6. Mercury starts the month at 20 deg Vedic Pisces, moves into Vedic Aries from May 9th to 27th, then enters Vedic Taurus and reaches 11 deg Vedic  Taurus by the end of the month.Note that when Mercury is in Vedic Taurus and Venus is in Vedic Gemini, this creates an ‘exchange of signs’ called ‘parivartana yoga’, when both planets should express themselves well, creatively and fluently, lasting until June 8th, when Venus enters Vedic Cancer. Now is the time to write those songs!

    7. Chiron is in western Aries:
A very special event occurred on April 12th. Chiron enters Western Aries (Vedic 6 Pisces). Chiron is in Aries for the first time since it was discovered in 1977! Chiron actually retrogrades back into Western Pisces in September.

Please do a conscious survey and ask yourself these questions and make a note of the answers:

  1. Are the needs you are striving for your actual valid needs?
  2. You need a healthy ego so that you can do the work you incarnated to do in this lifetime. Is your ego healthy?
  3. Do you need to reorder your self?
  4. How are you dealing with the challenges of your wounds?
  5. Please embrace the Chiron in Aries energy to recognise what wound(s) you have to the way you assert yourself in the world! What are you doing to make them a thing of your past???8. Neptune starts the month at 21 deg Vedic Aquarius, and ends May at 22 Aquarius, in PurvaBhadra Nakshatra.9. Pluto is Retrograde from 22nd April to September 30th. Note this is the same time as Saturn is Retrograde, and note that a Saturn-Pluto conjunction is implacably building to be exact: see the chart for this moment on my website page: https://www.starwheelastrology.com/2018-astrology.html

10.The May 2018 Lunations:

The New Moon is May 15th at 11.48 a.m. at zero deg Vedic Taurus, in Krittika Nakshatra. Try to have a more restful day.

The Full Moon is May 29th at 14.19 p.m. at 14 deg Vedic Scorpio, in Anuradha Nakshatra.
Moon is debilitated. Don’t let the intensity take over your mind or actions. Check out your Moon Ashtakavarga score for how supported you, your life and your mind are when Moon is in Vedic Scorpio.
(These are the dates/times in Sligo Ireland)

11. Sun moves through Vedic Taurus from May 14 – June 15. Krittika Nakshatra has the last three of its four padas in Taurus, and Krittika is ruled by the Sun, so this could be quite a strong, settled energy.

12. Here’s the May 2018 Summary:

May 3rd: Mars enters Capricorn, exalted, Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra (until Nov. 5th, 2018)

May 9th:  Mercury goes out of debilitation in Pisces/Revati and enters Aries, Ashwini (remaining in Ashwini until May 27th, 2018)

May 14th Venus enters Gemini, Mrigashira (until June 9, 2018)

May 15th Sun enters Taurus, Krittika (until June 15, 2018)

May 15th New Moon, Taurus, Krittika

May 27th Mercury enters Taurus, Krittika, 8.13am (until June 10, 2018)

May 29th Full Moon, 14 Scorpio Anuradha, where Moon is debilitated in Scorpio.

IMPORTANT FOOTNOTE:

To conclude, let’s take a look at a useful retrospective question about last month:  What is Mercury’s Greatest degree of Debilitation?

On 26th April, Mercury was at his point of deepest debilitation at 15 deg Vedic Pisces, and I myself experienced all sorts of weird irregularities in postage and communications. Actually, there’s big food for thought in the issues raised:

Just for one example: a letter arriving to replace a lost letter posted in early March, AND the lost original letter also arrived on this day. For another example, receiving an email asking me to offer a Journey at one of the Irish sacred sites around here, and the email omitting the month of the tour visit. And if you want a third and fourth example (but there are more): well, our internet malfunctioning and giving a sixty hour upload time of a video to YouTube, and then being rejected for breach of copyright because someone was playing ‘into the Mystic’ in the background’! And also the Bank of Ireland website proved impossible to sign into.

BUT, remember, that although Mercury is problematic when at his degree and sign of Debilitation, the sign of Pisces is also inspirational, and I had great inspiration come through.

A first example was contacting healing energies in the rocks in a couple of the more remote sacred sites where I do tours, healing energies that I think were amplified by the megalithic builders, and have survived because these particular sites are not much visited.

A second example, was reading a book about the use of Will to deal with difficult states of mind due to difficult destiny as depicted by astrology natal chart and transits. The list is long and to be grateful for.

I’m mentioning this issue of the Debilitation degree of Mercury in inspirational Pisces, because I have been in contact with other people who similarly had logistical and communication and planning tensions and problems on and around this day of Mercury’s greatest Debilitation. But also special inspiration.

And there’s also a special and important twist to this tale. The point is that the declaration that Mercury is most Debilitated at this degree, only works if you use the ancient Sidereal zodiac of Vedic Astrology to provide this invaluable definition.

If you try to use the western Tropical Zodiac to apply the vast insights and declarations of Vedic Astrology, Mercury is stated to be debilitated at a wrong degree and date.

In fact, what drew me to Vedic Astrology in the first place, 25 years ago, is the concept of Gandanta Degrees: that the degrees either side of the transition from Water Sign to Fire Sign using the Vedic sidereal zodiac are particularly problematic, immaterial and insubstantial (though can provide difficult but potentially immense inspiration), and of course if you try to use the western Tropical Zodiac, your definition of this utterly invaluable insight is denied.

It’s very important to note that if you do have a planet in a gandanta zone. It is so essential to know, understand and heal. This is because you will have real problems in expressing the nature and energy of that planet, and the closer your planet is the transition point from water to fire (Vedic Sidereal Zodiac Pisces to Aries, Cancer to Leo, or Scorpio to Sagittarius), then the stronger and the vaster will be the challenges you will have to face will be. You do need to know and understand and heal. The inherent inspiration can be harvested.

Astrology and Healing Magazine April 2018

Michael Conneely

Welcome to the April 2018 fourth Edition of Maggie and Michael’s Astrology and Healing Magazine, brought to you from their Healing Centre on the
wild Atlantic way coast of Sligo in the West of Ireland.

And this month’s issue covers the impressive Healing modality of EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique

Plus clear and empowering inspirational expression of the Astrology of April 2018, valuably embracing both Western and Vedic Astrology! And asking you key questions that are raised about your life.

MAGGIE BEST JUNE 16Tap your way to a happier you.

This month I’m going to talk about how Emotional Freedom Techniques can help you improve your life.
I first came across the idea of tapping on meridian energy points way back in 2001 and as a trained shiatsu practitioner, I was both intrigued and also pretty cynical as to how this simpler approach would work.  I initially dismissed it as another fad which would at best yield only temporary or superficial results.

Yet EFT kept grabbing my attention and within the year I had trained in Emotional Freedom Techniques and was surprisingly impressed by the responses I was getting with clients. So impressed in fact, that I became and EFT Trainer and helped others get those wonderful and, often surprising, releases from all sorts of conditions, even difficult long-standing ones. Sure it does look a bit weird, or did so at the time when it was less well-known, but when something works, where nothing else has so far, it certainly grabs your attention. I was happy to update my opinion of this new way of working if it could help people feel better.

Some of my early successes were helping a client improve his walking and be able to play with his child again, have a long-standing back pain disappear, resolve trauma and phobias, help prepare a client for IVF, dissolve interview nerves and increase confidence, overcome fear of flying and on and on. The best thing about it too is it gave my clients a way of continuing to manage the on-going stress situations which occur in daily modern life. It is something that can be done face to face or over the internet or phone.

First of all you are invited to bring into awareness the issue or problem you wish to overcome – calling a spade a spade, rather than trying to rationalise it or cut off from it. We give the intensity of how that issue is affecting us a number on a scale of 0-10. The second part is tapping on a series of points on the face and head and sometimes on the hands while we say words which sum up the issue. The words are simply there to hold the focus on whatever it is we wish to address, it is the tapping on the meridian points that does the balancing of our energy. We then compare how you feel now. Has that initial number changed? Do we tap again in a similar way or has the focus changed. Often tapping can help you be aware of what is really going on and help clarify actions to take. It can release the charge of an old traumatic incident so it simply becomes a memory, rather than something that haunts you.

And having released the stuff holding you back it can also be used to help adopt new responses more easily, build confidence and facilitate learning. It can be used to help children with the various emotional challenges encountered during their growing years. In that way it can be a great way for parents to support their children and to also help them cope better with the pressures of a busy family life.

Research has been done over the years which show that tapping helps reduce the stress response. It has increasingly being taken up by therapists, educators, some doctors and even the health service.

You can find more information on my website maggiepashley.com/eft-tapping or drop me an email to find out how it could help you, your family or even your pets.

The Astrology of April 2018, from Michael Conneely:

The energies of the planets are presented in both the Sidereal Zodiac of Vedic Astrology (which has a destiny unfoldment focus) and also using the Tropical Zodiac of Western Astrology, which is focussed on our psychological unfoldment.

What are the top news items for you to be aware of and deal with?

Here is the powerful ‘Top Twelve’ summary, and it’s followed by a very useful Table of the planets’ positions in both Vedic and Western Astrology below that:

1. The Saturn Mars Conjunction
Saturn and Mars start April in exact conjunction at 14 Vedic Sagittarius (PurvAshada Nakshatra), this is 8 Western Capricorn. And the two planets stay in conjunction all month.
This is good for technical work and DIY but it’s tough when Mars pitts himself against Saturn’s structures, patience and blocks, or when Saturn puts the lid on Mars leading to disastrous explosions of swearing impatience!
The energy of Mars-Saturn conjunction is bumpy and antagonistic. Positively, you might break out of the concrete prison you erected for you life, and free up your force of expression. Hopefully knowing this astrology will allow you to see the danger signs, and plan to manage your energy level.
You could enter April with big ideas, but be prepared to modify them, integrate them with other things in your life, and ‘go with the flow’. Channel your Mars power carefully and direct it with good ethical conscious awareness.
Mars is exalted in Vedic Capricorn from May to November! Cultivate courage.
If you have been feeling overwhelmed, let things balance out. Prioritise. Be guided by your intuition and inspiration. And as a very special issue to watch: Mars and Ketu are both in Capricorn from May 2nd to November 5th. See next month’s magazine on what this means and how to handle it.

2. The Sun enters Vedic Aries on 14th April, crossing the immaterial and unconfident (but inspirational) Vedic Pisces-Aries Gandanta Zone for four days either side of that date. The Sun is exalted in Aries (Adolf Hitler had his Sun there), and Mars is strong, so this can hold a useful guide picture of energy up to you.
Develop your individual expression. Embrace who you are. Sun is square Pluto on April 10th. This can open a portal for you to come to grips with your life direction and embrace deep change.

3. The Sun is conjunct Uranus in the heavens on 19th April. Anticipate unexpected events, impulses and inspirations. Will this be a matter of explosions of impatience or inspired revolutionary breakthrough in your case? Try to use this inspirational time to consciously take stock! To identify the habitual negative expectations of your life. Try to imagine instead how you can live connected to your wellspring of inspiration- driven confidence. Maggie’s ‘Access Consciousness’ healing and empowerment work is very good for this. See:
maggiepashley.com/breakthrough-sessions worldwide on-line via Zoom
maggiepashley.com/access-body-processes hands on work in Ireland

4. The Moon is conjunct Ketu in the heavens on 10th April at 17 Vedic Capricorn. This is not good for confidence or sound health.

5. Mars conjuncts Pluto exact on 26th April at 27 Vedic Sagittarius (21 western Capricorn). Be careful not to wield force implacably! Beware of darkness rising with violence.

6. Mercury is Retrograde from 1st to 14th April, and does not regain his pre-retrogradation position until the end of April. If Mercury has problematic stats in your Vedic Birth Chart, expect problems in IT, filing, posts and communications, and do your best to stay calm (somehow) and deal with them methodically and in a friendly way.
Mercury is square Mars on April 4th to 5th: avoid angry words.
Saturn is square Mercury on April 5th: consciously avoid blocks or pessimism or over-focus in the Mercury areas of life.
Mercury is in Vedic Pisces, so this does in truth lead to confused mental and communication issues, but can be inspirational.
Mercury Retrograde periods are actually good if you take note of the glitches, review your programs, and make good realistic decisions for how to manage your priorities.
The Mars-Saturn conjunction will force you to be pragmatic and respond to Mercury Retrograde glitches. Determine where you are going with your projects.

7. Saturn is Retrograde from April 17th to  September 6th. Saturn is in Sagittarius from October 2017 to January 2020. And within that Saturn and Mars are now in PurvAshada.
If you have Sun there, you could experience golden reaping (or professional downfall if you are off course in your life, or weak).
If you have Moon there, this is the centre of your Sade Sate: the difficult and separative, often depressed seven and a half period where Saturn transits through the Vedic sign before your natal Moon, the Vedic sign of your natal Moon and the sign after that. Note that a Nakshatra defined sequence for Sade Sate gives better definition than sign based definition.
Saturn actually retrogrades from 16 to 9 deg Sagittarius in 2018, so traversing from PurvaAshada back into Mula Nakshatras.
With Saturn transiting Sagittarius, note that you will need to honour and balance principles of both Jupiter expansion and Saturn contraction and consolidation.
With Saturn being retrograde, this is a wonderful chance to understand yourself better. Ask yourself these Retrograde Saturn questions:
a. Do I do too much under the influence of impulse and excitement?
b. Do I recognise my bedrock motivations?
c. And this is a big one: Do I draw back out of what would be good for me and my loved ones out of blocks and FEAR???
d. Does bedrock sense that you are a loser and a failure hold you back???
e. Develop awareness of the consequences of your decisions through your life.

8. Pluto is Retrograde from 22nd April to September 30th. Note this is the same time as Saturn is Retrograde, and note that a Saturn-Pluto conjunction is implacably building to be exact: see the chart for this moment on my website page: www.starwheelastrology.com/2018-astrology.html

9. Jupiter is Retrograde all month: this is the time to consolidate and bring into form your inspirations and ideas of the previous month or to.
Dot the Is. Cross the Ts.
Create sound structures and procedures. Apply diligence and discipline and your expansionary projects will FLOWER  and SUCCEED!

10. Rahu is in Ashlesha Nakshatra until 27th April when he retrogrades into Pushyami Nakshatra. Ashlesh is difficult serpent energy. Rahu can be driven, over-expansionary and toxic. Ashelsha is ruled by Mercury and its last four degrees are Gandanta. Seek to find the INSPIRATION offered at this time. Avoid the Mercury over-discussion and criticism. Avoid the Rahu darkness and over-ambition. Notice if you feel pray to psychological imbalance. Transmute the poison. Embrace vision and energy work. What with the breakthrough of Uranus entering Vedic Aries/Ashwini this year, and the earlier eclipse in Ashlesha, 2018 can be a most wonderful year for INSPIRATION. By Vedic Sign, Rahu is transiting Cancer at this time. Issues of mothering arise in our lives, emotional breakthrough and healing and empowerment from this.

11. Venus enters Taurus on April 20th bringing pleasure and art and socialising.

12. Chiron enters Aries: A very special event occurs on April 12th. Chiron enters Western Aries (Vedic 6 Pisces). Chiron is in Aries for the first time since it was discovered in 1977! Chiron actually retrogrades back into Western Pisces in September.
Please do a conscious survey and ask yourself these questions and make a note of the answers:
a. Are the needs you are striving for your actual valid needs?
b. You need a healthy ego so that you can do the work you incarnated to do in this lifetime. Is your ego healthy?
c. Do you need to reorder your self?
d. How are you dealing with the challenges of your wounds?
Please embrace the Chiron in Aries energy to recognise what wound(s) you have to the way you assert yourself in the world! What are you doing to make them a thing of your past??

Astrology and Healing Newsletter March 2018

Michael Conneely

Astrology and Healing Newsletter March 2018 from
Maggie Pashley and Michael Conneely

Here’s the March 2018 issue of Maggie Pashley and Michael Conneely’s ‘Astrology and Healing Magazine’. The Astrology of March 2018 and Healing Old Pain: Old Pain to Go.

It’s brought to you on the first weekend of every month, from their Healing Centre on the beautiful Atlantic Coast of Sligo in the West of Ireland.

As always, there’s a presentation from Maggie’s vast range of Healing Techniques offered both in our Centre and also Worldwide. And Michael offers a helpful description of the astrology of each month in both Western and Vedic Astrology, and how to handle these energies.

MAGGIE BEST JUNE 16First of all, Maggie talks about helping people become pain-free with OldPain2Go®.

This month I’d like to introduce a new technique that I’ve recently learned and have been getting some amazing results with clients using it. It is called OldPain2Go® and in a session I help people dialogue with their unconscious (actually much easier than you think!) to release long-standing pain.

OldPain2Go is the brainchild of Steven Blake who developed it over a period of seven years and still continues to refine it. I was fortunate to train with Steven himself and experience first hand how effective and versatile this approach is and benefit from Steven’s insights and years of experience.

Pain has a purpose of course. It grabs our attention and tells us something isn’t right and we may need to take some action. For example, you might have a fall, have a momentary feeling of pain or discomfort and be able to carry on or it may be a much higher intensity of pain and you may need to rest, see a doctor or even go to hospital. However, once we have taken the required action the body can generally heal itself.

It is when pain lingers on and in a way serves no purpose – we already know we have vulnerability in an area, or arthritis or an old injury – that it becomes a problem. The pain can often wreak havoc with our life, restricting our activities, affecting our mood, and generally our ability to enjoy life. It can also affect our friends and family as they watch us coping with pain. And of course it is not easy to run around and play with our children when we are in agony.

Those pain messages are like old answerphone messages telling us we have a back problem over and over again and we already know that. Those old pain messages can also be so loud that they make it harder for us to be alerted to any new pain messages that we need to pay attention to. What if we could delete those pain messages like old answerphone messages? That is what we aim to do with OldPain2Go® and many people can testify to its effectiveness. Watch the wide range of testimonials on Steven’s site.

So what happens to the underlying condition. Well we aren’t dealing with that we are dealing with the old pain messages but as we release that old pain and along with it tension and inflammation, blood circulation improves and the release of tension can allow our body much greater freedom to re-balance. If you are having medical treatment, of course, you need to continue to work with your doctor or specialist. You may need to pay attention to your body’s signals asking you to slow down, or stretch or move in a particular way. You can generally feel more active and able to enjoy being out of pain.

With the people I have worked with all of them except one had their pain go down to zero and the remaining one had a significant reduction in pain levels. It is certainly better than taking pain-killers which often aren’t completely effective and come with side-effects.

So you might ask: if I don’t have the pain won’t I be at risk of forgetting I have ……(fill in the blank for whatever condition applies). Well no, either than condition may improve along with removing the pain and indeed it often does, or your body will alert you with new pain if there is something you need to be aware of. More importantly, you’ll hear the new pain messages better as they won’t be drowned out by the old messages.

So if you have chronic pain which affects the quality of your life, or if you know somebody who has and is open to a new approach, check out the videos below – my website or Steven Blake’s website and get in touch.  I offer face to face sessions in Co Sligo and on-line sessions via zoom or skype worldwide?

In the video below you can watch me talk about OldPain2Go® and the video below that is a video of a client’s reaction to a having a session dealing with an old standing back pain issue

My video:

Nikki’s video:

An added bonus to OldPain2Go® is it helps you dialogue with your own unconscious which can be useful for all sorts of things relating to your body.

Michael Conneely with The Astrology of March 2018:

I have enjoyed writing this newsletter about the fascinating and powerful, creative and inspired and sometimes fraught astrology of March 2018.

I think there’s a lot of insight and good guidance here, and I’d be most happy if you wanted to take it further by having an astrology reading with me, or by enrolling on one of my many very informative and invaluable astrology courses.

I also offer many other healings and courses, and I would say that my astrology readings and courses benefit from cross-referencing to these as well. I hope to hear from you.

For your background info, please see my two helpful website pages: ‘charts for 2018’ and ‘Planets Info 2018’.
www.starwheelastrology.com/2018-astrology
www.starwheelastrology.com/2018-planets
Please note that what you can see in these web pages is the position of each planet, at the start and end of the month, eclipses, lunations, and so much more, with all charts shown in both western and Vedic Astrology.
Remember, Western astrology uses the Tropical Zodiac and is a psychological depiction, whereas Vedic Astrology uses the Sidereal Zodiac and is an Incarnational Life Purpose and Destiny depiction. The difference between the two zodiacs is currently 24 degrees.
Salute to the great power of Uranus Energy:

Uranus continues his slow inexorable, wired and ultimately ferocious passage forward through early Vedic Aries, through Ashwini Nakshatra.
And I am hearing of so many people with natal planets there in early Vedic Aries who are now feeling such fiery flux of new inspiration, change and innovation, and who are bringing into being such a current of revolution in their lives and consciousness.
And also, I am hearing similar from those who have natal planets opposite there, in early Vedic Libra.
And there’s the square aspect from Uranus too: I know of young people whose lives have been revolutionised following experience of this Uranus transit being square their natal Uranus: restraining situations ditched; horizons transcended, new vistas secured!
Yes, often there can be outbursts and irritable words, frustration storms. And also, sometimes circumstances force people the hard way, on to the path to the fulfilment of their destiny needs.
But once (and if) they recognise, and give form and strategy to, the new current of inspiration and revolution, then their lives get so much more purposeful, and so much more fulfilling and beautiful and happy.
Often, childhood issues and bodily-held blocks rise now to be recognised and healed so that we can go forward in this vanguard of the great Uranus progress.
Often, relationships will heal and grow because of the liberation energy that Uranus now offers to people in early Vedic Aries/Vedic Libra, or square to that.
I know quite a few people with planets in Ashwini Nakshatra in early Vedic Aries, who are newly embracing their potential for healing powers and techniques as Uranus transits through Ashwini, or exiting Ashwini Healers who are adding new extensions to their healing repertoires. The ruling deities of Ashwini are the Ashwini Kumaras, who are the divine physicians. I think a lot of the impetus to heal is because Ashwini is the first Nakshatras after the Pisces/Aries Gandanta, and I think a planet rising out of the immaterial, unconfident Gandanta is driven to find inspiration and meaning, and driven by panic, indeed, to HEAL.
And I would note that this inspiration and healing ability I mention is so much more creative, fulfilling and inspiring than over-reliance on Mantra or traditional remedies, which in my observation, can imprison, be over-formulaic, or create rigidity. Mantra has it definite healing place but should not be used in an imprisoning way.

Salute to the oceanic force of Neptune’s Energy:

Neptune continues at 19 Vedic Aquarius (13 western Pisces) in Shatabishak Nakshatra. Neptune is so powerful, and he can be devastating. So often he can be associated with illusion, deceptiveness, material loss, physical weakening issues, and indeed alcohol misuse. But his positive power is the ocean current of vision. I am seeing people experiencing conjunction or opposition from this transiting Neptune, who are healing their lives through experience of vision, increased sensitivity, increased intuition, even clairaudience and clairvision. Neptune transits Venus:
I myself have this Neptune transiting opposition my natal Venus, and I am well into filming an online Tarot course, AND we are creating an Irish Gods and Goddesses Tarot Pack!!!
With a colleague in Chicago, a deeply spiritual musician, artist and theatre producer, we are creating video montages with music and voice presentation for the Gods and the Goddess of the ancient Irish, for the Ogham and the Runes: the sacred alphabets of the ancient Irish and Norse peoples (courses for which I’ve taught for 25 years), for the ancient Sacred Sites of Ireland which abound round here, and to present the mystical energy work of the ancient Irish Druids, plus promos for my earth spirituality novels: Rune Magic, Sacred Earth, Druid and The Tribe… AND I am inspired and progressing fast, my writing of my novel about the Gods and Goddess of the ancient Irish,
and there’s so much more…. ….

Jupiter turns retrograde from 8th March to 11th July 2018.

Jupiter will have reached 29 deg Vedic Sidereal Libra, that’s 23 western Tropical Scorpio, on March 8th when he turns retrograde.
Jupiter remains Retrograde until 11th July at 20 Vedic Libra.
Check out which House Libra is, in your Vedic birth chart, to see the accurate prediction of what area of your life Jupiter will have been showing his blessings and expansion in since he entered Vedic Libra in September 2017.
For maximum blessings in this life area, you do of course need to check the standing of Jupiter in your birth chart (and in all your Divisional or Vedic Varga charts), and you also need to check out the number of Ashtakavarga points given to Jupiter by the sign Libra.
And also of course you also need to identify what planets you have in Vedic Libra, each of which Jupiter will activate by transit at this time.
And please do note that, in fact, the Dasha or predictive period you are in, in Vedic astrology, is in fact is the bigger governor of how powerful any transit will be in your life.
Note that planets in your birth chart and in your transits only perform at their very fullest if you are in the Dasa of that planet.
So, this means that if you are in Jupiter Dasa, now, then this transit of Jupiter through Libra will be at fullest power, and Jupiter will probably be at his very best.
However, to predict and understand the effect of this Jupiter transit, you do also need to take into your account the standing of Jupiter in your birth chart for how well your Jupiter dasha will feature, and also take into account how Jupiter treats your other planets and how your other planets treat Jupiter.
I like using Lajjitaadi Avasthas table for this assessment, and the table in kala software is very good for assessing planet’s standing and inter-relationships in your birth chart.
I have been blessed by this Jupiter transit, in that Libra is my 4th House, and we moved to a new house to a most lovely remote spot on the Atlantic coast of Sligo, almost to the day when Jupiter entered Libra, AND, I am in Jupiter Dasa, and my natal Jupiter has very high scores across the Varga charts and within the Lajjitaadi Avasthas calculation I mention above. So, this has brought me such wonderful blessing and purpose, and such expansion in my work, and, indeed, the house we moved to has brought such wonderful comfort, scope, possibility, support and blessings, and the area it’s in is total inspiration and utter beauty.
The widely spread-out hamlet once housed seventy people fifty years ago, but now only five houses are left, and the others are in disappearing ruins due to depopulation (indeed, over the last two hundred years), but then I do have Ketu in my 4th House, so this fits totally!
And note importantly that Uranus is also casting an aspect on Vedic Libra from where Uranus transits at the beginning of Vedic Aries. And this brings revolution and inspiration to people with planet in early Vedic Libra.
BUT, note most importantly, that now, in early March, Jupiter is turning retrograde. So, if you have been receiving a lot of inspiration and if you have been drawn to expand, well: once Jupiter turns retrograde, this will be the time to ‘put your money where your mouth is’, and ground and manifest, strategize and give substance to all your aspirations.
Do this needed consolidation work.
Don’t let it be a ruined crop!

Mercury turns Retrograde from 23rd March to 14th April, 2018.

At the start of his Retrograde, Mercury will be at 22 Vedic Pisces/16 Western Aries. Try to get ready for the effects of Mercury Retrograde, now, by getting all your filing and admin and other communications, done and in good standing.
I personally have literally thousands of documents to keep track of, and most complicated IT demands.
But Mercury is actually Retrograde in my birth chart (and he is conjunct Ketu/South Node and Mercury is Lord of the 12th!), so no matter how hard I try to get all my IT and communication systems into order, I always find out the many, many dimensions which I just didn’t get ready enough. It’s like being a dyslexic!
There are those who say, I believe accurately, that Retrograde planets in our birth chart indicate issues pertaining to that planet that we didn’t get right in a past life.
So, the curse (I mean gift) in this life, is that we have to take very extra special attention to the demands and affairs of that planet in this life time.
So, I hope you manage to get a lot better prepared for Mercury Retrograde period than I ever seem to!
Double-check and update!
Try not to bogged down by misunderstandings. Try if possible to sort them out! Be careful of mistakes. Double check details of financial transactions.
So, in summary, Mercury turns Retrograde at on 23rd March at 22 deg Vedic Pisces. He turns direct on 14th April at 10 degrees Pisces in UttaraBhadra Nakshatra. But it is most important to note that the Mercury retrograde effect do not fully sort out until Mercury attains his pre-retrogradation position, which will be on 3rd May at 22 Vedic Pisces.
But on the positive side, I suppose I am forced to concede that Mercury Retrograde periods do offer us endless chances to sort out, improve and upgrade our systems!
But, what do we make of Mercury in Vedic Pisces? Mercury transits Vedic Pisces March 2nd to May 9th.
Note that Venus is also transiting Vedic Pisces until March 26th.
And note that Mercury is considered debilitated in Pisces. What I would say is that Mercury’s rationality and Pisces’ intuitive currents can need careful handling.
Though what I personally would also say, though, is that the combination can produce inspired and intuitive expression.
And, of course, Jupiter’s energies enter this mix, as Jupiter rules Pisces. And although Jupiter is Retrograde, too, I do think there could be a lot of beauty, intuition, inspiration, death and rebirth, creativity and sensitivity, as a result of, this complex and infinite subtle weaving of sometimes far-out beauty and energies.

Mars Saturn Conjunction in March 2018:

Mars starts the month of March at 20 western Sagittarius/26 Vedic Scorpio. Mars enters Vedic Sagittarius on March 8th.
Mars is action. Sagittarius if Fire. Mars is aggressive and independent. Sagittarius is orientated to beliefs. Mars transiting Sagittarius will impel us to act on the basis of what we believe.

BUT, in addition to this, note that by the time that Mars enters Vedic Sagittarius, Saturn is already transiting at 13 Sagittarius.
So, this means that both Mars and Saturn are in Vedic Sagittarius, together. Mars’ conjunction with Saturn becomes exact at 14 deg Sagittarius on 2nd April, in PurvAshadha Nakshatra.
and note that Pluto is meanwhile at 26 deg Sagittarius, which is still PurvaAshadha.

So, this means that if you have planets in Sagittarius they will experience a Mars transit in March
And indeed, they will also be affected by an ever-closer growing Mars-Saturn conjunction, which will become exact on 2nd April.

Now, it’s important to realize that the energy of Mars conjunct Saturn is bumpy and antagonistic:
Mars wants to go, go, go, and in Sagittarius, he will most impatiently and desirously and even aggressively want to expand, expand, expand, achieve, achieve, achieve, and as fast as he can – he’ll want to get things done either today, or preferably yesterday! And he will brook no opposition. And he will be fuelled by your own fierce yearning to achieve.

BUT Saturn is conjunct Mars and Saturn, Lord Shani, is Lord of Karma. He insists on patience, diligence, hard work, dotting every i and crossing every t.
Guess how the two of these get on with each other!!!

Your big question: Will Saturn restrict Mars building up to explosion?
OR will Saturn direct and structure Mars, and strategize to produce achievement?
And answer this: is the choice in this question within your control and up to you, or is it NOT?

When Mars meets Saturn, Positive energy or Aggressive destruction, meets with limits based on Fear or Necessity/Practicality!

Guess how you will be left feeling in your body and in your consciousness as Mars and Saturn slug it out??? Frustrated yes. Ill: well – possibly, yes! if you are not careful to use and successfully act on this perception I am offering here!!!

And do check out the affairs of the House that Sagittarius represents in your Vedic birth chart.

AND please do note that this Mars-Saturn energy can be managed in a harnessing and healed way, now that we have heard this perception.

AND also note that this Mars-Saturn energy is potential extremely good support for technical projects.

AND it is very good support for DIY work, especially if such is overdue. Given that Maggie and I are at the forefront of the Wild Atlantic Way tourist industry (well that’s my story), I have to lay asap before the beginning of the west of Ireland Tourist Season, a concrete foundation and then build a lean-to extension then plumb and wire that, so I suppose I must say a grudging (I mean grateful cheerful) hallo to this imminent union of Saturn and Mars!!!

Saturn actually enters PurvaAshadha Nakshatra on 3rd March (where Pluto is transiting), staying in PurvaAshadha until June 5th.
Mars enters Vedic Sagittarius in Mula Nakshatra, but Mars then joins Saturn in PurvaAshadha on Mach 31st.
So, there will be a close Mars-Saturn conjunction in PurvaAshadha from 3rd March to June 5th.
This is because, in fact, Saturn does turn Retrograde on 18th April at 15 Sagittarius, re-entering Mula Nakshatra on June 5th. But Saturn ends his Retrogradation on 1st September at 8 deg Sagittarius. And then, Saturn re-enters PurvaAshadha Nakshatra on November 28th, not finally leaving Sagittarius until 24th January 2020.

N.B. To have Mars, Saturn and Pluto all in the same sign, Vedic Sagittarius, is an explosive containment energy that is quite something, and do see my comments on the gathering Saturn-Pluto conjunction in the last issues of this Magazine: February 2018.

Mars and Saturn will form exact conjunction with each other on 12th January, 2020. This will be at 28 Vedic Sagittarius, which is 22 western Capricorn, in UttaraAshadha Nakshatra.
Note that this IS AN immensely powerful conjunction. You can see the chart for the exact moment of this Saturn Pluto Conjunction at the foot of my website page: https://www.starwheelastrology.com/2018-astrology.html
However, returning to the present conjunction of Mars and Saturn in PurvAshadha Nakshatra, do note that PurvaAshadha Nakshatra is ruled by Venus, so when Saturn is transiting long-term in PurvaAshadha, this will be good for giving form to love, and also giving form to art.
However, there is the question of how these two will cope with Mars, and also note that this consolidation and structuring of beauty will need to be balanced with explosive regenerative Pluto

Have you got planets in Vedic Gemini?

Well given that three planets: Mars, Saturn and Pluto are all transiting opposite in Vedic Sagittarius, people with planets in Vedic Gemini need to be very careful during March. Indeed, Saturn transits in Sagittarius until 2020, so they will have some element of restriction and difficulty to deal with until 2010.

Venus in Vedic Pisces:

Venus moves into Vedic Pisces on 2nd March. Venus is exalted in Vedic Pisces. And this means that people with Venus in Pisces in the Vedic birth chart can be very attuned to a higher vibration of the nature and reality of love. It’s refined and compassionate. And because Jupiter rules Vedic Pisces, the two Gurus combine this month their very different focusses.
I have found it interesting to compare the ‘Alice Bailey Rays’ of these people. I offer psychodynamic and Evolutionary western astrology as well as Vedic Astrology, and I love Megastar psychodynamic astrology software, which offers an extrapolation from the western birth chart, a statement of the Alice Bailey Rays a person is born to work with this time. Often people with Exalted Venus have an emphasis of Ray 2 Love and Wisdom and Ray 6 Devotion and Idealism.
What are the Seven Rays? Well, the Seven Rays came down to us from Alexandrian Egypt. Alexander ‘The Great’ conquered it in about 300 BC and set up the Ptolemaic Pharaoh Dynasty, which ended with Egypt coming under the heel of Rome and the infamy of Cleopatra, and by weird coincidence this was at the similar time to Queen Boudica (Boadicea), Queen of the Iceni in the East of England
and Queen Cartimandua of the Brigantes in the North of England who, like Cleopatra and at the same time, both had to deal with Rome, and of course there’s also the famous Queen Maeve of Connaught of the West of Ireland at this same time, who’s coronation mound is near where I live at the wonderful Rathcroghan Visitor’s Centre.
However, to get back to the Seven Rays, Alexander’s conquest of ancient Egypt meant there was an influx of Greek philosophers to Egypt, and these Greek Philosophers met Egyptian Priests, and the result was … that the Seven Rays passed over to the West.
The knowledge of the seven rays was preserved in Europe by the Medieval Jews through the long centuries of the persecutions of the Roman Catholic Church, and was then disseminated by Alice Bailey a hundred years ago. For a modern book on the Seven Rays, read: “The Seven Rays Made Visual” by Helen S. Burmeister.
But to get back to Venus, Venus is joined in Vedic Pisces on 3rd March by Mercury, and on the 15th March by the Sun, and then on 17th March by the Moon.
Importantly, note that Venus is transiting in Vedic Pisces which is ruled by Jupiter, and at the same time Jupiter is transiting in Vedic Libra ruled by Venus. This is a powerful Parivatana yoga.
However, as I said above, Jupiter is Retrograde at the time, but I do feel we can perceive, feel, understand and use this energy, and so March could be a good month to create love and beauty. Mercury and Venus being both in Pisces will help each other at this time.
And due to the Parivatana yoga of Venus in Jupiter’s sign of Pisces, and Jupiter in Venus sign of Libra, Jupiter and Venus in Pisces will help each other too.
Venus in Pisces is a healing energy, but note that malefics Mars and Rahu/North Node are both casting aspects on Pisces in March. So, this will bring a rather fraught introjection of energies and emotional issues. Resentment at issues from our past may surface. It will be so valuable if we can heal these or create boundaries around these.
Anecdotally, on the subject of dealing with torturing family issues from our past, you might like to hear that when we visited the utterly beautiful Loch Key Forest Park near Boyle recently, and we found to our amazement that the lovely gift shop was selling ‘Watchover Voodoo dolls’ (children’s’ versions!) and one of these was called The Equaliser. And The Equaliser with its burning red eyes addresses past and present hurt and injustices, with the statement:
‘Happiness is the Best Revenge’.
Notwithstanding the fierce injunction of The Equalizer, I do think the complexities of transits in Vedic Pisces, with Chiron being there too, could make for a powerful, creative and healing tide! It would be good to be awake and ready and taking note of healing and creative opportunities in March.

Chiron changes western/Tropical signs next month:

Chiron, the Wounded Healer, has been transiting western Pisces for the last 8 years, and next month, in April Chiron transits into western Aries. This is quite a big change of psychological energy. We are at the end of sensitive dwelling into our woundedness, the psychology of Chiron in western Aries brings a new jolt of clarity and action into our healing, and in the healing of ourself, we can become the Healer of others.

Venus in Vedic Aries:

Note that after crossing into the Pisces-Aries Gandanta, Venus leaves Pisces and enters Aries/Ashwini on 26th March, reaching 6 deg Aries by the end of the month. Of course, Venus meets Uranus already transiting in Venus Aries, and this energy could be quite inspired, new and creative, to say the least.

The Sun:

The Sun starts March at 16 Vedic Aquarius (10 western Pisces). The Sun finishes March at 16 Vedic Pisces which is 11 western Aries).
So, the Sun transits Vedic Pisces from March 14th to April 13th.
Importantly, note that Vedic Pisces receives aspects from malefics Mars (in Sagittarius) and Rahu (in Cancer). So, do note that this affects the Sun, and also the New Moon of March 17th
And, importantly, note that this New Moon is conjunct Chiron at 28 western Pisces/ 3 Vedic Pisces.

The Equinox:

The Equinox is March 20th, the day when the day-length grows longer enough to equal the length of the night, and form this day onwards, the days get longer than the nights.

Lunations:

There’s a Full Moon on 2nd March at 17 Vedic Leo/11 western Virgo
(Moon in PurvaPhalguni Nakshatra, Sun in Shatabishak)
There’s a New Moon on 17th March at 2 Vedic Pisces/27 western Pisces
(Moon in PurvaBhadra Nakshatra)
And a there’s a Full Moon on 31st March. Sun in Vedic Pisces. Moon at 17 Vedic Virgo/10 western Libra

Sade Sate:

Note that Sade Sate occurs as Saturn transits through the sign before the sign occupied by the Moon in our Vedic birth chart, the sign of the Moon and the sign after the Moon. This process takes seven and a half years, and is often a death and rebirth experience and a period of fraught separations and mental tensions. With Saturn now transiting PurvaAshadha, this means that those people with Moon in PurvaAshadha are in the centre of their Sade Sate experience.

I have enjoyed writing this newsletter. I hope you will find it useful. To take this further, book an astrology reading with me, or enroll on one of my many very informative and invaluable astrology courses.

A key to understanding and working with our karmic scripts. Orientated to our achieving that special spark which our soul chose for us to seek to learn to manifest this time.

First of all: Healing:

Hypnotherapy from Maggie Pashley – the easy way to keep to your New Year’s goals or to make desired changes to your life in 2018

The turn of the year invites many people to choose something different, something healthier, wiser, more abundant, more ease-filled and yet by mid-January most ‘resolutions’ have already fallen by the wayside.

There can be different reasons for that. Maybe they weren’t really our goals in the first place – just what we thought we should be expected to want or to try and please somebody else.

Maybe we weren’t motivated enough to make the change and we fell back to the more familiar patterns of our life. Maybe we have a pattern of self-sabotage so that we can’t allow ourselves to succeed or go beyond what we have been or believe we can have and be. Or maybe we just ran out of steam because relying on will power alone is exhausting and hard.

The good news is that hypnotherapy can make making those desired changes easy or at least much easier.

As a hypnotherapist of many years I’ve helped people do lots of things more easily than they thought possible. I’ve helped people give up smoking, pass driving tests, pass driving instructor tests (yes they get to be on the other side too), have healthier eating habits, find exercise enjoyable, have better sex, win a boxing competition, take the stress out of IVF, give birth more easily, release phobias of flying, spiders, going out and more unusual fears, stop being haunted by trauma, learn better at school and a whole host of other things. A real mixed bag and I’ve met some delightful, courageous and willing clients who knew there should be more to life and were open enough to give hypnotherapy a go.

Hypnotherapy is effective as it harnesses the power of our own unconscious mind. Our unconscious is amazing. It runs all the different systems of our body, keeps us safe, helps us learn from life’s experiences, drive our car without thinking through every manoeuvre and on and on. All those things that we do habitually are guided by our unconscious, so it makes sense that when we want to change a habit then communicating with the unconscious is essential. And when we engage with our unconscious to make those changes, they seem natural, easy and even enjoyable.

My job as a hypnotherapist is to engage with my client’s unconscious mind, to use compelling, sensory language to create new desired experiences and to allow my client’s unconscious guide them there as elegantly as possible.

It is reminding my clients of all their resources, skills and natural abilities that they can bring to bear on the present problem. It is uncovering unconscious blocks – behaviours which may have a positive intent in some way but which actually limit choice and the ability to succeed.

It is dissolving old traumas so that the past doesn’t haunt and contaminate the present.

I love doing hypnotherapy as during a session I have to go into a mild trance state myself which is highly enjoyable. Most of my clients find their sessions surprisingly pleasurable. They go away with more confidence, insights and clarity, less pain, feeling more relaxed in their body and it is wonderful for me to see the change as they walk out my door, or we end the on-line session. And if you have ever wondered who is in charge in a session, it is YOU. You will only do what feels right for you and won’t do anything that goes against your values and what is important to you. At the same time your mind can become more open to recognising far more choices than it thought were available.

The Astrology of January 2018 from Michael Conneely

There now follows a helpful summary of what the energies of the planets in January 2018 mean in our consciousness and in our life: what energies we may need to bring Healing to; what energies we can maximise for our empowerment.

Here is the Part 1 video for January 2018 Astrology:

Here is the Part 2 video for January 2018 Astrology:

We start our journey to perceive and work with the energies of January 2018 with the Transit of Uranus:

1. Uranus

For some people, Uranus will be the star performer in January 2018.
After a long Retrograde, Uranus is on station at the start of the month. This is at 0 degrees Vedic Aries, using the Sidereal Zodiac and at 24 Western Aries using the Tropical Zodiac. He turns Direct on January 3rd.
Uranus is a God of Change. He is a Lord of Karma. If you have a planet in this area or opposite it – especially if that planet’s your Sun or Moon (or both!!!), this means driven revolution: the chance to manifest your own very special spark.
Or for youngsters around age 21, they will be having their revolutionary ‘Uranus Square: Transiting Uranus is square to their natal Uranus, and there could be a big move of house or career. And of course, there’s the Uranus Opposition and other Square to watch out for too in your predictive astrology!
But remember, Uranus’ energy is driven and inhuman, so you have to be careful of how you treat yourself and others.
Uranus is inspiration, and the inspiration can be sudden like lightning strike, or intermittent like beams of sunlight filtering through the branches of the trees.
Be careful not to stay in your own very special Saturn blocked scripts, tramlines or alternatively prison – and so be careful not to fail to express the inspiration Uranus is favouring you with. If you don’t express it, your life will be left incomplete and bereft.
Uranus to Moon brings up Mother issues and move of house.
Note that the last time a Uranus’ transit into Aries occurred in the past meant the Burning of the Reichstag, the rise of Adolph Hitler, and the Second World War.

2. Saturn

So, 2018 starts with Saturn, maybe Chief Lord of our Karma, at 7 deg Vedic Sagittarius (1 deg Western Capricorn). Saturn reaches 17 deg Vedic Sagittarius by end 2018 and Saturn transits through Jupiter’s sign of Sagittarius until mid-2022.
Saturn is contractive. Sagittarius is expansive, so all the while we will be encouraged (or pressurised) to find working balance between expansion and contraction, and get the containers and structures right in our consciousness and in all the areas of our life, especially the area of our life defined by the House that Sagittarius is in our Vedic birth chart.
Saturn’s energy demands of us patience and hard work and fulfilling our karmic responsibilities. His reward is either grim reaping or golden reaping, depending on how we fulfill his demands. Negatively, he’s cementing ourselves into our blocks, limitations and blinkers – not to mention our fears!
Saturn entered Vedic Sagittarius on 26th October 2017, passing through the immaterial, uncertain, confidence-lacking but potentially inspirational Gandanta Zone that is at 4 deg either side of the junction of the transition points from Vedic Water Signs to Vedic Fires Signs, also entering therefore the 19th Nakshatra: Mula. Mula is ruled over by the Dark Goddess, Niritti.
And The energies of Saturn and Niritti couldn’t be much more different!
And so the dance of the Dark Goddess demands that we smash Saturn blocks that we should no longer cling it.
Whereas, at the same time Saturn is still demanding of you that you obey his hard laws.
What a difficult conflicting demand.
But Vedic astrology is Tantric. It is all about the achievement of enlightened perception by the reconciliation of apparent opposites.
So, if we can get it together and have the needed authenticity and courage, Saturn’s entry into Mula is a time where we can ride two very different horses at once: diligence and structure, coupled with inspirational Death and rebirth!

Saturn and Venus: Also Note that Saturn and Venus are both together briefly in Sagittarius at this time, and so this can be good financial/property/inheritance news for Vedic Cancer Ascendant people, whose 4th and 11th Houses are ruled by Venus, and whose 7th and 8th Houses are ruled by Saturn.

Ashtama Shani: Saturn is transiting Vedic Sagittarius in the year ahead. If Vedic Sagittarius
is the 8th from the House occupied by the Moon in your birth chart, this will be Ashtama Shani: Saturn transits 8th House from Moon, and you really do need to know what this means and how to handle it! Get a Reading. You need to hear how to handle Saturn’s transit of your 22nd Drekkana at this time.

Sade Sate: As I said, Saturn is transiting Vedic Sagittarius in the year ahead.
If your Moon is in Vedic Sagittarius in your Vedic Birth Chart, well, you are in the middle of Sade Sate and you really do need to know what that means and how to handle it, and it is such a good idea to get a timetable of your Sade Sate energies from me to see: when are the really difficult times? when are the phases of ‘fool’s paradise times’? what does Sade Sate mean for you individually and particularly in your life? It’s a time of separations and despondence and being cut off from God’s grace with the divine purpose of thus being made to see yourself as you really are, and do something about that.
If your Moon in your birth chart is in Vedic Scorpio, then you are now entering the final two and a half years of Sade Sate. Learn how to handle that.
If your Moon in your birth chart is in Vedic Capricorn, then you are starting the seven and a half years Sade Sate, and you would do very well indeed to get a reading of guidance about that!!!

Saturn Return: And note that if you are around age 28 or 59, you will be having your SATURN Return, and I can give you great guidance about that that means.

Planets in Vedic Gemini? N.B. With Saturn transiting in Vedic Sagittarius all 2018, it’s going to be a hard, tough year for those people with Sun or Moon, and other planets, in Vedic Gemini in their birth chart. The Nakshatras affected by this are Mrigashira, Ardra and Punarvasu.

3. The Nodes of the Moon: Rahu/North Node and Ketu/South Node:

Rahu entered Vedic Cancer at the time of the violent August 2017 Eclipses, and in so doing Rahu went then went through another of the three Gandanta Zones: Leo to Cancer (Rahu’s motion is always retrograde).
This was at around the same time as Saturn (above) went through the Scorpio to Sagittarius Gandanta zone, thus increasing the feeling of insecurity and almost ‘drowning.
And as described above, this is at the same time as Uranus is transiting in the Pisces-Aries Gandanta Zone, so this can make us feel weak and insecure if we have planets in these three Gandanta Zones, and yet we can hopefully find great Meaning and Inspiration at this weird time, if we know how to look for it and identify it.
And just to add to the intense Gandanta energy activation, Mercury is transiting through the Vedic Scorpio-Sagittarius Gandanta zone from 1st – 9th January to (crossing into Vedic Sagittarius on 7th January).

Rahu’s energy is driven, and even more so if Cancer is your 1st House! And Rahu can be surrounded with the smoke of delusion. We need his energy to push forward to realize our incarnational goals in this lifetime, but we must not fall into the abyssal traps he opens up.
So, if Cancer is your first house, you will be driven feverishly to express yourself, whereas Ketu, always opposite Rahu, might spiritualize your 7th house of relationship, or even blow it open.
And if, for example, Rahu is transiting over your Sun at this time, you will be driven to express yourself more powerfully and successfully in all areas.
Because Rahu is transiting in the sign of Cancer, we will have quite a driven desire for emotional security in 2018, and we need to honour this.
And beware that Ketu transiting through Capricorn could impair your commitment to your material security. Beware Pollyanna or Drain.
And here’s another example: if Capricorn is your 4th House, transit there could make your home more spiritual, but you would need to be aware of the Ketu’s risk of lack of confidence about your roots of life.
The Nodes remain in the Vedic Cancer / Capricorn axis until 7th March 2019. Then, the Node change sign to the Gemini – Sagittarius axis, transiting there for about eighteen months, and following this change in the nodal axis, it has meant in the past that a booming economy gets replaced by an economic collapse.

Planets Square the Nodal Axis: Note that both Jupiter and Mars are square the Nodal Axis at this time. This means that any child born around this time will have the energy qualities and scripts of those two planets as Karmic missed steps: qualities they did not get right last life-time: qualities with a special demand to get right this lifetime.

Kal Sarpa Yoga: Talking of the Nodes of the Moon, do note that the Kal Sarpa Yoga is in force in January 2018. Realistically, the Kal Sarpa Yoga energy should be said to be extant in the Heavens until 15th February.
Kal Sarpa Yoga is when all the Vedic planets are to one side of the chart between Rahu/North node and Ketu/South Node.
This can create divisiveness and perpetual phases of insecurity and fluctuation. This is partly because for half of each month the Moon is within the other planets, and for the other part of each month the Moon is out in the untenanted half of the chart, meaning that the Moon is alone and unsupported in the Heavens, giving rise to obsessions, fears, doubts etc.
It creates a very big spiritual and consciousness and also relationships challenge in the chart of a child to be born at the time of Kal Sarpa Yoga.
12th January: Saturn is conjunct Mercury

4. Jupiter:

Jupiter has been transiting through Vedic Libra from 12.9.2017, bringing his enlargement, purpose and blessing to the area of life represented by libra in your Vedic birth chart, so for example if libra is your 4th House, you could have a beneficial move of home and or do loads of home beauty and improvements.
Jupiter in Libra bring general growth in relationships and creativity.
Jupiter is opposition Uranus: And note that Jupiter is still opposition Uranus in Vedic Aries, so for Aries and Libra people, this can mean sudden expansion. Uranus is Retrograde at the start of 2018, but soon goes direct, so watch out for, be open to Inspiration and Revolution, and sudden forward impetus to burst out of your prison walls, tear up your tramlines, and move forward in the realization of that special talent your soul chose for you to work to manifest and express yourself in this lifetime!
January 15th : Jupiter sextile Pluto.
Jupiter moves from Vedic Libra to Vedic Scorpio on October 11th, 2018. There is therefore a transition in Jupiter’s manifestation from the idealism and beauty of Libra to the hurt secretiveness and aggression of Scorpio.

5. Mars:

Mars is transiting Vedic Libra in the first half of January 2018, so if you have say Sun or Ascendant there, be on the lookout for sudden incidents or bursts of aggression! Or enforced manic overwork, or even lack of confidence if you don’t easily handle Mars energies.
6th Jan: Mars is conjunct Jupiter. These two become conjunct in Vishakha Nakshatra, whose symbol is the triumphal arch. Vishakha is ruled by Jupiter and its power animal is the male tiger, so this could be a good hinge time of success and power for those with planets in Vishakha.

However, Mars enters Vedic Scorpio on January 16th, and Scorpio is one of the two signs he rules.
So, this means that Mars will be strong, but watch out for his energy being caught up in tortured undercurrents or secret or obscured agendas. Seek clarity. Seek to define strategy. Don’t be precipitate.
Note that Mars will be in 6/8 aspect to Uranus in Aries while he is in Scorpio, so this is violent irritable energy in your consciousness and life, and at the geopolitical level could mean terrorist attacks and earthquakes.
How exactly the transit of Mars through Vedic Scorpio will affect you will depend on what House Scorpio is when counted both from your natal Lagna (Ascendant) and Moon Sign

Looking ahead, Mars enters Vedic Sagittarius on 7.3.18
Note that Mars and Saturn are conjunct in the Heavens from March 7th to May 2nd. This is not a good combination as these two pit themselves against each other and fight each other: energy of assertion fights against blocks and sensible structures! Anger and frustration!
And note that Mars energy becomes more and more problematic and vicious as 2018 unfolds with eclipses, conjunction to Ketu and Mars energies on hold during a Retrograde!

6. Venus:

Venus is transiting in Vedic Sagittarius conjunct the Sun, and so this is not good for love because the Sun combusts Venus, meaning that scorched egoic force burns gentle sweetness of loving Venus.

But Venus transits past the Sun from January 9th thus steadily improving her position freeing herself from the burning Combust.

From January 9th, Venus conjucnts the Sun in the heavens. She thus achieves Superior Conjunction and from now on until moves ahead of the Sun, beginning to be seen in the western sky as Evening Star. This journey of Venus was given especial reverence in ancient Sumeria, expressed as Inanna’s descent into the underworld: she was stripped naked and made to face her grief, then to re-arise.
So, around 9th January: do look for Renewal in Venusian matters of relationships and beauty.

Venus transits away from Vedic Sagittarius into Vedic Capricorn on January 14th.
Venus will pass by Ketu on January 30th around the time of the January 31st eclipse, Venus transiting here conjucnt Ketu south node exactly on January 29th which will mean difficult challenge for love scripts for those who have planets that are affected by this Conjunction.
However, Venus then heads further away from the Sun, to become more free during February.

7. Mercury:

Mercury starts the month in Vedic Scorpio, and is transiting through the Vedic Scorpio-Sagittarius Gandanta zone from 1st – 9th January.
He crosses into Vedic Sagittarius on 7th January, where his energies are slowed then blocked by his conjuncting Saturn.
Mercury and Saturn are exactly conjunct in the Heavens on 12th January.
Mercury transits Sagittarius in company with Venus and Sun as well as Saturn, so: depending on what House Sagittarius is in your Vedic birth chart, this could possibly be a good time for writing.
Mercury then enters Vedic Capricorn on January 27th.

8. Sun:

Sun enters Vedic Capricorn on January 14th. sun is the King of our Kingdom. We need a strong Sun. Saturn is blocks and pessimism and had lessons. During Sun’s transit through Vedic Capricorn and Aquarius, these two opposite energies combine for us to learn our sobering and important lessons.

9. Lunations:

Full Moon January 2nd: It’s in Ardra Nakshatra, ruled by fierce demonic Rahu in Vedic Gemini, so given the stormy nature of Ardra, this Full Moon could be experienced as wipe-out and stormy! Ardra is ruled by Rudra the Storm God, whose name means He who cries. He was the son of Shiva: independent and me first; scowling. Wait for calm then gather the pieces together!!!! Beware the possibility of vicious driven tunnel-visioned assertion that is in Ardra. So, for example if your ascendant or Moon is Vedic Cancer, this transit could be good for things to do with children and it will be good for creative work.

New Moon in Capricorn January 17th at 03.17 hrs. This is in UttaraAshadha Nakshatra. Sun, Moon and Venus are all closely conjunct. Ketu South Node is also in Capricorn, and Mercury enters Capricorn on January 27th.

The Full Moon Eclipse on 31st January 2018.

It looks ghastly!

This Eclipse occurs at 11 deg western Leo or 16 Vedic Cancer. It’s right on top of my natal Pluto!!!!!!!!!!!

Moon is in Ashlesha Nakshatra
Sun is in Sravana Nakshatra
Ascendant is in Ardra Nakshatra
Venus is conjunct Ketu! Planets transiting across the Nodes are forced to let go of something significant it terms of how we handle that planet in our life.

Note very importantly that there is another Eclipse in Ashlesha on 11th August 2018, also in Vedic Cancer (16 deg Western Leo).

Ashlesha is difficult Serpent energy: fears, phobias, obsessions and compulsions: hurt energies, but with potential for shamanic ‘death and rebirth’.

There’s a great need to clear the decks and plan to sustain a calm environment at the time of this Eclipse.
Ashlesha’s shakti is the healing potential that is in poison. Avoid anything toxic at this time. Perceive the toxin in you unconscious. Heal and empower on the basis of that perception.
N.B. To see the Vedic and Western charts for this Eclipse, go to the Blog version of this newsletter.

Because the eclipsed Moon is so close to Rahu transiting through Cancer, this will be a difficult time for maintain stability of mind. Be careful around the end of January and the beginning of February.

And note that Uranus is square Pluto in the heavens at the same time! URANUS/PLUTO: Revolution. The collapse of the old order. The process of transformation.
Psychologically, its restlessness. Activity. Creative energy. Flight from the establishment. Innovation, reform. A strong awareness of purpose and objective. Mobility. Creative power. Untiring effort. Endurance. daring and foolhardiness. Striving for new things. Extraordinary powers of creation and
performance.
Negatively, it’s impatience. Scatter of energies. Fanaticism. Violence. Precipitate action. The mania of destruction
Biologically, it’s changes in rhythm of biological processes. The relationship between pulse and
breathing. Fever spots.
Sociologically, the Uranus-Pluto energy enhances: pioneers, reformers. People who are very much out of the ordinary or who are endowed with universal genius.
URANUS-PLUTO PROBABLE MANIFESTATIONS:
+ the attainment of great objectives by immense application of effort. Bringing new things into
being. The creation of new conditions of living
– Acts of violence. Subversive activities. Putting a gun to someone’s head. The enforcement of
decisions. An accident.

A Really Happy New Year 2017 to you from Michael Conneely and Maggie Pashley

Michael Conneely

Here’s our Starwheel New Year’s Day Newsletter
Wishing you a Blessed 2017

Our very best wishes to you for your year ahead, 2017, from Michael Conneely and Maggie Pashley.

What would it take for this year to be the time when your special talent will really flower???

Here’s a sharing of our personal unfoldment journey in 2016, where we feel blessed to have listened to the call for change and taken decisive action and we hope this will inspire you to follow your dreams.

What started out feeling like a unexpected blow in May 2016, led to us quickly perceiving it as liberation and being set free to move and as it turned out to move to another country- Ireland.

Maggie and I now find ourselves amid the utter beauty and sacred sites of County Mayo in the far West of Ireland, and with a Healing Centre and our Airbnb. And once we had made that decision we were amazed at how quickly and smoothly (despite the odd touch of bureaucracy) it all played out.

So in sharing the wonders that we have found here we’d like to invite you to come and share in what we have found here, to have a holiday, to take a course, have a reading or healing session. You can personalise it for your own particular needs and interests. Or simply take it as inspiration that when you decide to step out of your comfort zone a whole new world can emerge – or of course all our work is also available worldwide online using the internet as well.

After a rollercoaster 2016 that turned out to be a total blessing, Maggie and I find ourselves amid the utter beauty and sacred sites of County Mayo in the far West of Ireland, and with a Healing Centre and our Airbnb.

This Blog Post tells you of the beauties of the area where we live, its music, art, dance and culture, its mountains beaches and history, and the Healings, Readings and Courses we offer here and also worldwide using the Internet.

The astrological energy we were resonating with was Uranus, planet of jarring revolution transiting conjunct the Moon in our birth charts. See my Blog: blog.starwheelastrology.com/when-uranus-strikes-your-moon-transit-of-uranus-conjunct-the-moon-in-your-birth-chart/  We were freed to emigrate to Ireland in May this year, and by August 10th we had done it! And emigrating’s not easy! And if you think it is, you should meet the Irish bureaucrats!

Here’s the graph of our Uranus transits to our natal Moon.

Each of the vertical columns is for one month, so: Jan, Feb, March, etc. And remember, Uranus takes 84 yrs to orbit the Sun, so this can only happen next for us in 84 years time from now!

Here’s Michael’s Graphed Uranus Transits 2016 and then 2017:

Here’s Maggie’s Graphed Uranus transits 2016 and then 2017:

And so now we find ourselves in the most beautiful land a sacred deeply historical area of mountains and beaches and monuments, a special place beyond imagining running a Healing Centre and a B&B, and offering many worldwide online Healings, Readings and Courses, but also local healings and retreats in our Foxford centre too.

Maggie offers so many deeply intuitive healing modalities. See her website www.maggiepashley.com for Emotion Code, Body Code, Access consciousness, Hypnotherapy, healing massage, Emotional Freedom Work (EFT), Stop Smoking and metamorphic Technique.

I offer Astrology Readings and Astrology Courses, unusually offering both Western Astrology and also vedic Astrology, but I also offer my wide range of Astrology Mini Courses and Mini Readings. See my Astrology Readings website: www.starwheelastrology.com

I also teach Shamanic Healing See:  www.earthstarweb.com/shamanic-healer, The Runes (the mystical, healing and empowering alphabet of the ancient Norse and Germanic peoples) See: www.rune-path.com/  and also The Ogham (the mystical Tree Alphabet of the ancient Irish Druids) See: www.druidforestschool.com/ogham

Now, in addition,I am offering tours of the many Sacred Sites of the ancient Irish within an hour of here (see below) as well as offering, as I have done for years: online and face to face courses and events exploring and empowering ourselves through the beauty of the ancient Irish Druid Path: visionary contact with the Gods and Goddesses of the ancient Irish, their festivals, their body energy work (The Three Cauldrons of Poesy, the four sacred weapons of the Tuath de Danaan, and for another example: the Duile, the nine Elements of Self of the ancient Irish Druids that link our bodies and minds and hearts to all of the Cosmos). See my Druid Forest School website: www.druidforestschool.com/courses

And a very special thank you to my Webmaster, Robert A Williams for doing such wonders and getting my messages on the road to you. If you are looking for search engine optimisation and all the other arcane mysteries of web work, you couldn’t do better: See: www.r-a-williams.com

But I would like to share what is special about the village where we have ended up living, and we were not looking to live here. We were looking for a place in Westport, but every time I searched on the internet Foxford came up instead! It would be difficult to pick out what is especially special, if you see what I mean, about the village of Foxford where we now live.

It could be the dozens of beautiful beaches within an hour of Foxford www.foxfordairbnb.com/beaches. It could be the homely traditional family atmosphere of Foxford the village, where so many families are dedicated to music, dance and creativity. See the eight music videos on www.foxfordairbnb.com/towns And then there’s the Foxford Brass and Reed Band as well founded at the end of the 19th Century, which is thriving from strength to strength.

And Foxford is so historical, and spiritually so. A Sister of Charity called Agnes Morrogh Bernard gave up her life with vows to serve the Poor, and came to Foxford in around 1890 when Famine had returned and the poverty was dire, and if any family showed signs of bettering themselves the Landlord just put up the rents.  Although knowing nothing of woollen industry, she started up a Woollen Mill to bring wages into the hovels of the starving families who subsisted in what the landlords called ‘Cabins’ with the pig inside the cabin with the family as the pig was ‘the gintleman as pays the rent’! This nun believed in the Eye of Providence and I believe she brought a holy and blessed energy to this land here.

And, weirdly, Foxford also boasts the national hero of Argentina among its former inhabitants: Admiral William Brown, founder of the Argentine Navy and hero of Argentine’s struggle to throw off the colonial oppression of the Spanish Empire.

Aged nine, he set off from Foxford for the USA and a new life in 1786, with his grieving father after the deaths of the mother and all the children, but sadly his father fell ill in the coffin ship and died a few days after landing in Philadelphia, leaving William an orphan. But William was not daunted. He got a job as a Cabin Boy, and ten years later, by age 19, he was in command of his own ship. He later escaped from a Napoleonic prison and in 1814 led the Argentine navy in a desperate but victorious battle against the fleet of the Spanish Empire and in a moment of glory freed the Colony from the Spanish Imperialists.

But there’s another thing that’s special around here, I believe there are especially powerful healing energies in the rocks around this whole area. You can feel them if you go to the exalted special sacred places of the Palaeolithic Irish, the oldest farmers in Ireland, places they founded from around 3,700 BC, sacred places that the Irish Druids still worked with two thousand years ago, and less. There’s so many of these:

If I was forced to choose one sacred place, I would choose Ben Bulben Mountain. It is august and vast. The great poet W B Yeats spent his childhood at its foot, and he is buried there, and it was here that he saw the Hosting of the Sidhe, the great Goddesses and Gods of ancient Ireland, and here he awaited the time to be right for their return to human consciousness, and so from here, he started the Celtic Revival with Lady Gregory.

I should mention Carrowmore which nestles in the arms of a protective circle of mountains: the Sun of the Samhain or Halloween Sunrise streams down its central passage.

There’s high the exalted Carrowkeel tombs.

And there’s Lough Arrow near which the second Battle of Moytura was fought. The manuscript Cath Maighe Tuireadh tells how the godlike and skilled people of the Tuatha Dé Danann, having conquered Ireland, fell under the oppression of the cruel and unworthy Fomorians, who could not understand or appreciate their divine specialness, nor the Goddesses and Gods who incarnated dwelt among them, and so they did battle here to assert their divine qualities and to free themselves.

And what can you say about Rath Croghan? Yes, it’s home of Queen Maeve who lived two thousand years ago, and plunged all Ireland into war. But more than that it’s the inauguration site of the Kings of Connaught. The last King to be inaugurated there was just before Oliver Cromwell turned up. He so hated and despised the Irish for being Catholics that he herded them into the churches and set fire to the buildings with the families inside. He sold off tracts that weren’t his to his Lieutenants, just as so many English Kings had done with parts of Ireland from the late 12th Century onwards, especially Henry VIII. BUT Rath Croghan is also the home of the great Battle Goddess of the Ancient Irish: The Morrigan. Oweynagat, the cave where she dwells, is beneath the inauguration mound. She is the Ethical Defendress of Sovereignty. According to the legends, she mates with The Dagda, the Good God every Samhain, and according to the legends Her divine people the Tuatha de Danaan are waiting until their great consciousness and specialness can be appreciated again, so that they can return.

And I have to mention Croagh Patrick Mountain. I seem to have come across quite a few healing occasions recently. Maggie and I celebrated the Winter Solstice on December 21st, at Kildangan on Clew Bay, where there is a line of standing stones pointing to a cleft in the side of Croagh Patrick Mountain, through which the Sun shines at the moment of Winter Solstice, and sure enough it did. The sky was grey, and then at the exact moment, the Sun blazed into sight like a hydrogen bomb, and its rays shot down the line of standing stones. And the thing is, after I felt very healed and have felt unaccustomedly well since, and other people said they felt forgiveness to situations and healing. Maybe it is energies in the rocks of the place, and maybe it is to do with the exaltation of the sun, the birth of the new Sun and the combination of Sun energies and Land energies. Croagh Patrick area is one of the special healing places where great beings contact the earth, and inhabit those places to bring power, kingship, authority and healing. I seem to end up in these. I was quite struck to find out that the Yew grove where I ran my organisation Glastonbury Ritual Tours for five years was deemed by Catherine Maltwood to be the centre of the Glastonbury land Zodiac. And I am certain that Croagh Patrick Mountain is one of them.

Croagh Patrick is felt by many on the Sacred Earth energies path to be Dragon Energy, and indeed, it is the place where Saint Patrick fasted for forty days before he set out to convert Ireland to the Raman Church, and indeed, in the account of that vigil, Saint Patrick fought with Corra, the spirit of the place there. She engulfed him in her jaws at one point, which does sounds very dragon-like!

But Saint Patrick threw his bell of exorcism at her and he bested her, and he consigned her to Lough na Corra, to the lough beneath the mountain, for eternity – or so he thinks.

But there’s more about sacred energies in the rocks here: Just around the corner from there, is Rossroe on Killary Harbour, where my Irish mother took me once. this was where the great Oxford University philosopher, the German Jew, Ludwig Wittgenstein, went into retreat to write his greatest work: Philosophical Discourses, and I sense it may have been the energy in the rocks there that prompted his greatest philosophical expression. I studied his thought at Oxford in 1968.

But if that was not enough, just around the corner from Rossroe is Glassilaun Beach, nestled Aat the mouth of Killary Harbour below Mweelrea Mountain, where my mother told me that my Irish Grandparents first set up home, and – and this was so important and helpful for me:

The wonderful psychic and psychic surgeon Elizabeth Hendricks ‘saw’ that I should go in the September of 2015.
She said that she ‘saw’ I should go there because she saw that there was an energy in the rocks waiting to enter me to heal me.

And so, unexpectedly, Maggie and I went to Glassilaun, and I was a different person there from those energies, and within 11 months we had emigrated to Ireland. And I I do feel much more accepted for myself, here in Ireland, and so much better able to express myself. I feel there is a destiny running!

So, I hope you will, yourselves, grasp revolution when it calls to you.
